sydney need to sign zadkovich permanently, the guy is consistently playing well

Great match so far. Great great match.
Zadkovich is awesome. His throughball to Corica was sublime. Corica's finish was nice but Valkanis really made a meal of his clearance. Maybe just an unfortunate incident for him.
Yorke missed a sitter. I couldn't believe it.
Travis Dodd is so damn FAST. He made Sydney look slow. Nice finish as well.
Great header by Rech and corner by Qu. Excellent play.
Nice diving header by Petrovski too.

turning out to be the type of semi final that everyone was expecting..
lol @ valkanis, if his going to defend like that for australia against bahrain, i dont even want to imagine what will happen.

yep, I'd say that's exactly what happened.
It happens to strikers as well. Sometimes they can't decide whether to shoot or pass and the end product is never pretty. Same type of thing I feel.
rofl Veart must hate Milligan. Almost broke his ribs in the first half and kicked him hard in the second half to get a yellow card.

as for todays game, good result for sydney but you just never know in football, adelaide just need to win by 1.
also carl veart is a bit of a dirty player i see, first the elbow to milligan and then the fake dive after petrovski tapped him lol i really dont get why professional players fake things like that when theyve got cameras all over the place

On ya Ruben! Another great game from the lad, just always willing to take people on, good to see. What a ball aswell.
Happy with the result, definetely.

Just got home, great game, but a bit disappointing from our point of view. Valkanis!?!

What were you thinking son, I have no idea why you left the ball, I think he thought it was going wide of the post. Bloody risky call, put the flaming ball into orbit!!
Was not a fiesty game as is being made out. Kink, Petrovski is a wanker. He dove at least 3 times, yes, Veart took a drama class too but Adelaide were not dirty today. Yorke should have got a red after protesting alredy on a yellow. These things happen. Petrovski is out of the rest of the finals now right?
2nd leg, Sydney are def favourites. I have not given up on Adelaide though. Away from home we've amazed me. I think we can do the business there. 1-0 and we're through. We must score though!
BTW - Cracking goal by Dodd & the crowd was way more than that figure. There were no seats and thousands were standing.
Great game by the best 2 clubs in the comp.
...further more, while I'm still having a whinge. WTF was with the ref playing 1 minute of added time at half time. Whoever it was in the Sydney team that went down and got the stretcher and then walked off fine, took about 4 minutes the twat!!
Kink
Feb 12 2006, 05:51 AM
yeah petrovski is a bit of a wanker, milligan did a bit of acting as well in the first half, but in the circumstances that veart did it in..just made me laugh lol...
as for the crowd figures, i think one of the commentators said that its not a sell out and that there was like 100-200 tickets left?
unless they sold them just before the match was starting who knows..
JLW - dont worry man ive got a game as well next week..as well as how many other kids who are playing trial matches lol
Djibrilliant
Feb 12 2006, 05:56 AM
Milligan is a such a punce. Worse then Robben, Sydney players are as good at acting as Lapuglia(sp?).
Still was a great game and atmosphere. For that 3 min period where we scored the 2 goals the place was rocking.
We were poor though in the midfield and I am fuming at Kosmina for his decision to play at home first and some baffling selections today.
Thought a draw was a fair result but I really think we have too much to do now. But I will go next week and cheer the boys on in hope.
Also Pierre should of been sent to the stands for his hissy fit and kicking the water cooler. The guy is such a moaner despite his team getting every 50/50 decision in the game. Refs should be shot.

I agree Golsky. I think Adelaide and Sydney are the 2 best clubs in the comp by some margin IMO. Central Coast are solid though and we be a threat.
Kink
Feb 12 2006, 05:59 AM
i agree DJ, refs need to be trained better.
Pierre of late is turning into a bit of a sooky baby, doesnt mind his hissy fits but i guess thats just his passion showing for the game.
just something i saw during the game, does kosmina drink coffee whilst his sitting on the bench?
Djibrilliant
Feb 12 2006, 06:01 AM
Yes.

He has the SAME cup every game. A tradition he has got used to.

I must admit I liked Pierre at the start and thought he was good for the game. But over the last month he has just pissed me off with his moaning.

Djibrilliant
Feb 12 2006, 06:24 AM
True but Sydney have only lost 1 at home and on form I can't see us doing it. I understand what Kosmina was thinking but I still think it was the incorrect decision. You need to come home IMO knowing what you need to do and to have the crowd bring you home. I know it doesn't always guarantee success but it was the better choice IMO. We had plenty of time to recover from the last game so it isn't like in Europe with mid-week European games etc.

lol COFFEE.
Did anyone else watch the world game where Littbarski was juggling a ball? He was f-cking terrible at it, looked like a 6 year old his ball skills were so bad. Maybe it was a medicine ball? Otherwise I seriously have to wonder how the hell a player goes from WC to 16 yrs later not knowing how to juggle a ball.

anyway, good match overall. Looking forward to next week.

I noticed that too! I wondered what the hell was up with that ... meh, maybe no one has told him he looks like an idiot. What makes it worse is that it is not even a mug, it is one of those dodgy looking tea cups you'd get in a cafe. You'd think, especially at the home ground, he could have a cool-looking mug. Someone should buy him one as a joke.

Your blonde guys are good. Carney and Zadkovich are both good players. Dodd was the only one who performed for Adel Utd IMO. I thought Veart was horrible.

He invited the press in for some interviews but he didn't want them to film them training.
Kossie's great at interviews, one thing I like is that he always sticks up for his players and thats what got him so pissed off about with Miron having a go at Rech. Miron had a moan when he got some back, pffft.
I don't mind managers going mad but Pierre stepped over the line as he was going mad directly too fans and then kicked a water cooler. Not to mention his continious moaning during games to the officials despite his team getting all the 50/50s. He really should of been sent to the stands for his tantrum in the 2nd half. If it was Mourinho in the EPL he would of been.

Yeah but i dont think drinking coffee would be superstitious lol, if his thirsty..bottle of water would do a better job lol
as for mourinho being sent off, even if he does get sent from the field, the mind games would still continue.
But what does sending the coach/manager from the field do anyway? not much really, just something to make the sport look disciplined in front of cameras
Djibrilliant
Feb 13 2006, 08:52 AM
Well it calms things down and doesnt get things any more heated on the sidelines.
The mind games still continue but it lessens the risk of anything unsavoury happening between crowd and manager. It's inciting the fans, players get fined for it and so can managers.

1-0 to United
Whenever Man Utd lose, Adel Utd win.... that's my theory anyway, hope it works this time since Man U are out of the FA Cup now....
