Pictures of the rip. Also interesting my mate pointed out that there is like a white looking material glued to the leather and loads of foam. So how the hell can that be breathable????

Very suss now.....
As for the shoe itself. well it feels lightweight, but really wasn't that comfy, and felt rather unstable somehow. Hey just my opinion, but back to the drawing board I say.......sorry Richard but you need this feedback I reckon.

Thanks for the feedback and pics. I really do appreciate it.
As mentioned, this is the first issue like this I have ever seen, after testing for more than 6 months. It could be a manufacturing issue, or something to do with the use. What kind of ground were you playing on? Turf? Hard Ground? Regular pitch?
As for the white lining and foam you mention, I cant really see on your pictures, and dont know how this would be visible from the small hole you show, but....this white lining is canvas reinforcement. It is very common for boots use this reinforcement, and it is very important to keep the shape of a boot, especially leather boots. This reinformcent prevents the upper from stretching out, and helps it mold to the foot. It is totally breathable, and is only in the font vamp area of the boot.
The foam you mention is also a common feature. Almost all boots have some foam in the upper to make a nice soft fit, and help with comfort and touch. Again, thsi material does not affect breathability at all.
Of couse I am open to opinions, but I must say I am very surprised to hear about your feeling on fit, comfort and stability. Especially with this boot, which features a very standard fit and stud pattern. The studs you may notice are in the exact same position as the Copa.
Best Regardsm
Richard
