thought he wears predetors

i think many players will change from absolutes to tunits, so did sagnol from Bayern Munich!
As long as Beckham, Lampard, Zidane and co. wear absolutes, their marketing strategy isnt in danger very much IMO

Hahaha cool picture.

Are players contracted to wear a certain model of boot or can they wear any model of a particular brand?

I would imagine the big users of a certain boot (eg. Beckham or Zidane for Predators, Defoe for Tunits, etc.) will be contracted to wear that specific boot (and in some cases maybe specific colours too like the newest model) but someone like Emre who has changed from the F50+ to the Absolutes (and now to the Tunits) probably has a bit more freedom. I'd say it's probably just the 'poster boys' so to speak that stick to a certain model.
Now U C ME
haha what r they doin in that pic? it looks like theyre filming a music video for tunits.

Ok why is it such a big deal if one player switches to a different style of boot? Its his choice....

another thing, i emre isnt in that photo.
Its #24 (Tony Caig i think), #23 Shola Amoebi and #39 Martin Brittain. (from NUFC site hehe)

That was the players reaction when they heard Souness has been fired!!!

Yes, that is Emre in that photo - i've just done some Getty research laugh.gif

As for the numbers on the training kits, alot of clubs tend to hand out the kits randomly, not really bothering with handing out specific kits to fit a players number.

Here's an example:

Rooney with 9 for Man U: (see attached pic)

but some clubs, such as Arsenal, do dish the correct numbers to the correct players.

Sorry to sound a bit technical - and I apologise if I have dragged this thread towards the borders of off-topic, as I was simply just trying to help out smile.gif

Players have their own specified "training" numbers. You will find that the majority Manchester United players numbers are different. If I remember correctly, David Beckham wasn't 7 in training.

okay - that just makes everything more complicated - he also looks a little differnt there too, thats why i was confused

Emre is not that high profile anyway, becks will still wear them.
