I think the vapor 3's are really helping him find his goalscoring, you could always see in his shooting that his technique was just a little off, but with the changes in the boots he seems to be shooting much better than he used to. He is on fire of course too.

When speaking of pros, every little advantage can mean the difference between a goal and a miss, watch some of his old and see how he's changed his shot, they have a wider foot and he likes to do the front foot shot across, gives him a bigger base so much better chance of getting it where he wants, of course im not meaning to diminish his skill in any way, just something to think about.

More for his flashy tricks than for his effectiveness, though he has been improving as of late. On his day much more of a match-winner than Rooney, unfortunately doesn't have enough of those days in a season to be a constant threat to the opposition and asset to his team, though his unpredictability gives him the edge over any defender. He improves his crosses and he'll be more than equipped to serve United for years to come, as he's seeming to finally get the gist of shooting/finishing his chances.

The Opta Player of the Month for February is the enigmatic Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese wideman bagged a double double in the month, with a brace of goals at home to Fulham and another pair at Fratton Park.
He ended the month with a devastating conversion rate of 40% and capped his form off with another goal and an all-round power display in the Carling Cup Final against Wigan Athletic.

Well potentially hes the most complete player in the world today....and can almost single handedly beat any team on his average day...but thats all potential....has got the physique, the height,skill,tricks...thers nothign that he doesnt have this kid....he can head better than most wingers or midfielders and srikers for the matter, has skills only rivalled by Ronaldinho, has a wicked free kick if he masters it,he could possibly another Beckham in this criteria,he has pace like a cheetah, can almost over take anyone in this world...so a nightmare for defenders...and he of course can finish very well....only thing is that he doesnt have a footballing brain like Rooney, but lately, hes been having that high for that final pass ,and hes assist more and his playing more for the team....he always had the potential...now hes just putting into effect...this guy can do watever Messi can more...thats how good he is for me.
wizzdum10
Apr 5 2006, 02:59 AM
to say he is the most complete player is geting abit ahead of yourself, even if u were to say "potentially." there are alot of areas in his game that are lacking, his crossing ability and his passing a key floor.
im not gonna say that his no quality and that he cant take teams apart, but to say that on an averge day that he could almost take any team apart is just farcical.
a move to spain, though, would only make him a better player and aid his development greater. spain is the kind league he should be playin in, a league that encourages individual briliance and skill and a league that is not all about aggression but places emphasis on technique and (for lack of better words) JOGA BONITO.

As i said, hes potentially the complete not yet the final product, and his crossing has been pin point perfect ,recently, hes always had thos passing,he never jsut realeased the ball at the right tiem,so he used to get out numbered or closed down.

Ronaldo would be even better if Ferguson played him consistantly in his best posision. He`s mainly used as a rightwinger now, but it`s quite easy to see that he`s more comfortable on the leftwing. His game is much more natural there. He dominates more as a LW and he`s also more entertaining there

He surely one of the great names today in the world of football. His style is very artistic. all his actions have an artistic touch. The stepovers, the scissors, the flicks, rabona, etc. those are the special touch to his game. He's still very young and doesn't have serious injuries yet.
I think this season was his toughest year. Rape abusing, death of his father, those are hardest thing in your football career or life. There's still a bigger one and that's the serious injury. As long he keeps his fitness level very high, then I think he won't get a serious injury.
I shall say his toughest year/season is almost over.

Cristiano Ronaldo is overated. Of course he is a very good winger, and has a lot of potential, but a lot of people on these forums put him way out of proportion, saying he is one of the best players in the world and all that nonsense. I think a lot of people buy into the fact that he is full of tricks and a bit of a showboat, and that this actually makes them believe he is a better player for it. Well, looking at Portugal v Angola, when you compare Ronaldo to Figo, it is clear who is still the better player. Ronaldo tried his tricks but didn't produce much, while Figo was an inspiration throughout, much like he has been for Inter this season. Ronaldo can be a great player, possibly even one of the best wingers in the world, but has to develop is footballing brain and learn when to do things and cut out some of the tricks and so on, and he still has a long way to go before he reached that level.

I agree completely. People have to understand that just b/c a guy is good looking, full of tricks, and can play football at an above average level, it doesn't make him the best player in the world. He is far from being a complete player. I'm not saying that he sucks, even though I don't like him very much, I still agree that he is better than some players out there. And from looking at the way he is being 'manufactured' as of now, he will turn into the next David Beckham which is definately not a good thing if he wants to be respected as a football player. People will overlook his abilities and he will regret it in the future.
Now stop being so biased until he makes REAL progress.
