The first leg is at Gerland and the second in San Siro.

Juninho won't play the first leg because two yellow cards...

But what a game!!!!!

What is your prediction ???
7
3-0 for Lyon at Gerland, and 1-1 at San Siro bigsmile.gif
Augustus
AC Milan had rekindled their interest in Fred before the draw was made, it could be a scouting Tie for them as they have also been linked with Cris.
murcielago_92
It is a superb poster! One could not make better cheers1.gif

Honestly I think that Lyon can do it !

I hope that there will be 2/0 in Gerland and 2/1 for Lyon at San siro with a Free kick of master Juninho banana.gif

who will stand for juninho ?
Sumoloholic
2-1 Lyon and 1-1 at San Siro.
MAΣΣAΛIA
AC Milan are right to show interest in Cris, he would really boost up their defense... But I don't think Fred would settle in Italy, skill-wise yes, but he wouldn't score goals.
Ok my predictions :
First Leg : Lyon 2 - 0 AC Milan
Second Leg : AC Milan 2 - 1 Lyon
Lyon through 3-2 on aggregate

Lyon is the best team this year.I predict 2:0 in Lyon and 1:1 in Milan.
rado907
This is by far the most interesting game. Lyon will be missing Juninho for the first game. Milan right now is in a good form, and has the strongest attack in Europe.
Yeah this game will be game to watch.
KPR
Milan will win both legs. Juninho's out for the first one, and Lyon doesn't really have anyone that can contain Kaka and Pirlo so they are gonna get run over. 2-0 or maybe even a bigger win for Milan in the first leg. The next leg at the San Siro will be another emphatic win for Milan, with a 3-0 scoreline.
Dingo.

I think this is by far the tie of the round, two very good teams going at it, should be two great legs to watch.

I think that Lyon will go through but not by a very big margin. I predict the first leg will be a tight affair and maybe Lyon edge it 1-0/2-1, then at the San Siro it will be a draw.

and you wake up fish.gif
comon mate, you really think Milan will win easily the 2 games ? May I remember you the 2 games against PSV with Milan and Lyon ?
IMHO, it will be very tight and both teams can do it...
Juanito™
By far the most interesting tie of the quarters. ooh i can't wait! smile.gif

Should be a good game.

I think Milan will edge it with their experience and the fact Juninho is out for the first leg. Also they have a squad depth that means they have lots of options.

I think Milan will progress.
Blau3grana
I hope Lyon will win because I will able to see OL-Barça!

I will go to see OL-Milan too.
Swifty
Lyon are a great team but i don't think they can cope with AC Milan. Unless Milan have any big injuries, i'm sure they'll win both legs.

1st leg > Milan 3-1 Lyon

2nd leg > Milan 3-0 Lyon

I dont think that will be the case, Lyon have Tiago and Diarra in the middle so i dont think they will be run over at all. Should be an interesting battle in the middle but Lyon can cause teams trouble from other areas like on the left with Malouda who i think is a smashing player, he can get at defenders and whip balls in for the strikers. Ive never rated Wiltord but he seems to be coming up trumps with Lyon too. They are not too shabby in the striker area either, Carew will cause you problems all day long, they also have Govou who can cause problems and also the wonderfully named Fred. Saying that Milan also have wonderful players like Kaka, Shevchenko, Gattuso and Inzaghi and many others. All this considered i think it will be a very close tie with lots of good entertaining play i hope.

Prediction:

Lyon 2-1 Milan (1st Leg)

Milan 1-1 Lyon (2nd Leg)

I just have the feeling that Lyon will edge this one but we will have to wait and see.
Felipão
The best match up methinks along with arsenal - juve. It will be very very close.

I predict

first leg Lyon 3-1 Milan
second leg Milan 2-0 Lyon

Milan on away goals
prof_savon
mister aulas, president of lyon says that he is very confident and that milan is just a step to join the stade de france...

I thin k tha lyon can do it too first leg 2-0 for lyon, and second 2-2.

Cris vs Sheva is a match in the match smile.gif
Cipe
Milan for me
even thought i hate em beer.gif
seamus
MILAN 1.1 at lyon and 1nil milan at the sansiro 2.1 ag

Before the draw i said that there was 2 teams i did not want to face at this stage of the competition and they were Barca and Lyon.
Lyon are a very strong team and are capable of beating milan. But for milan to win we gotta take advantage of the fact that juninho isnt playing the first leg and try and keep a clean sheet, aswell as score goals, coz when juninho comes back in the second leg milan are going to have a very tough time as we do not defend set pieces very well, especially those as good as juninho's.

My prediction:
1st Leg: Lyon 0 vs. 2 Milan
2nd Leg: Milan 2 vs. 2 Lyon
KAKAisGOD
I'll give it 1-0 Milan, 1-1 Lyon; Milan on away goals. Milan's attacking form as of late has been superb, with both Sheva and SuperPippo on hot streaks and Kaka fantastic as always. Not to mention Pirlo who is probably the best freekick taker after Juninho. I think AC's defense should be up to the task as well, Gattuso plugging it in there as buffer to the back four. This should be an awesome game.
saddawi
lyon are one of the strongest teams in europe this year
they showed it in their 4-0 win over psv. milan couldnt even score against psv in the group stages
i want milan 2 win but i think lyon will just go through
lyon 0-0 milan
milan 1-1 lyon
Speedy
Since both teams are solid at home, it is going to be their away form and the away goals that decide the winner. Juninho being out for the first leg is a huge blow to Lyon, if they can shut out Milan at home, they have a good chance in the second leg, which will be hard considering both teams have proven they can score. Expect something like 2-2 Lyon on away goals or I have a funny feeling we will see penalties.
.Pep Guardiola.
I am going to go for a 1-0 home win in both legs and I think we will see penalties. That is just a natural assumption when two top teams play.
Sasho
I will go with the underdogs in this one. Lyon. I am absolutely sure that people do not think of them as that big of underdogs but still, Milan is a more prestigious club. Last time I saw them play against Juventus, they weren't anything special. Nothing special actually. Lyon however, oh my. My semi final prediction is Lyon-Barca and Juventus-Inter, final Barca-Inter
Swifty
I have a $75 bet on Milan progressing. If Milan can get a draw or even a narrow win in France, then they can finish them off in San Siro.
Darunia
First leg will be close, since Lyon is missing Juninho and Milan is not the best on the road.

Now, it's a completely different story at the San Siro. Even with Juninho back, Lyon will not be able the match the offence of Milan at home. Milan is great at home, 14/15 wins in Serie A I think.

Lyon 1-1 Milan
Lyon 1-3 Milan
.Pep Guardiola.
I want to see Lyon progress because I would much rather play them than Milan. wink.gif
Another_Invented_DiseaSe
i have a sneaky feeling lyon are gonna win this tie (not that my intuitions are always correct, mind you).
MAΣΣAΛIA
Without Juninho, I think Lyon should go with that lineup :

-------------Carew---Wiltord-------------
---Malouda---------------------Govou---
-------------Diarra---Tiago---------------
--------------------------------------------
--Abidal---Caçapa----Cris-----Clerc----
-----------------Coupet-------------------
Cristiano!!!!
right this is gunna be a wikid game and i will be tuning in on wednesday night

i think that lyon will win the first leg 3-2 and then ac milan will win at the san siro 1-0

so milan will go through on away goals smile.gif

i have both cris and shevchenko in my champions league fantasy league team smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif

After sweating for 90minutes watching my side last night overcome Juve i'm looking forward to sitting back now and watching what should be a great game bwtween two great sides.

Shame Juninho is out, he didn't score a freekick at the weekend so he would be due one.
These are the kind of games Milan seem to grind out a result in though, i'll go for 2-1 Milan with Kaka being the difference.

Looking forward to this.
casenpoint
looking forward to it also but in good old espn2 are morons so i get inter-villareal

Scrappy match so far.

0-0 Half-time
sach234
The match was just opening up before the half time .. Lyon are def finding their way in the match after a brilliant start by Kaka and Co.
Cañizares
Milan should be up at the moment. I think that they have to attack with balls on the ground rather than playing aerial balls to Gilardino and Shevchenko. Cacapa and Cris are too good in the air. The few times they have gotten the ball to Shevchenko's feet Lyon has looked shaky. I expect Milan to win this one quite easily yet, I can also see a 0-0 draw. I'm going to say that Kaka and Gilardino are going to be key for Milan in the second half. Gilardino hasn't really gotten himself into the game as yet. Pirlo also has to get himself into the game because he can add much impact too. Looking forward to a good second half.
Swifty
Boring game so far. Both sides keep on doing longballs with no fluid passing. And AC Milan keep passing the ball back to defense.

it was a tactical game. rolleyes.gif

prob got a yellow im guessing
Another_Invented_DiseaSe
yea got a needless yellow in the last 20 secs of the game so he is suspended for the next leg

im the same with swift the game was boring i watched inter/villarreal instead
Darunia
0-0 was a fair result, Milan played better in the first half and Lyon the second.

Game at San Siro should be fairly different than this one, at least in the scoreline. Juninho will be back, and Lyon and Co. have a great chance to score an away goal. I expect Milan to come out firing, and score some goals as well.
IceInWinger
sheva could've got a hattrick..

offtopic2.gif i noticed they were using a UMBRO football (Lyon wear Umbro kits) while the Inter-Villa game had a Nike football..

i thought there was an official CL football or something...
Blau3grana
I was in the stadium, Stade de Gerland. What a ambiance.
