Incase anybody cared, the Inter/Ajax match is being played in little over 9 hours

Inter hold the advantage over Ajax after a 2-2 draw away leaves them with two away goals, and a home fixture. Adriano, their Brasilian emperor, finally ended his scoring drought in the previous Serie A weekend, and Ajax will be looking to keep a clean sheet and score a goal, if Inter score first, then Ajax have no option but to go for it as they are chasing the tie as it is.
Winner of this tie goes on to face Villareal in the quarter-finals.
Good luck

lol i was just on the New Topic page and researching some info for both teams, when i clicked back to recheck the format of the title for making new threads in here, and found that you posted this. I'm very interested in this tie, so here is some preview from Goal.com:
CL Preview: Inter-Ajax
The winner of this second round match will face Villareal in the quarter finals.
Background
With both teams far off from the top spot in their respective leagues, Inter and Ajax’s main objective this season lies in the coveted Champions League trophy. The Nerazzurri, more than the Dutch side, cannot risk of being eliminated at this stage of the competition, especially since they play this second leg in front of their demanding fans.
This will actually be the first time this season that the Inter fans will be able to assist to a Champions League match at San Siro, as the Nerazzurri had to play the previous four home encounters in front of an empty stadium due to the ban imposed by Uefa following the disorders which occurred in last season’s Champions League match against rivals Milan.
The home fans will surely be a major boost for an Inter side which after losing yet another Scudetto will need to focus all attention on this cup. And in this second leg, the Italians start off as hot favourites to go through thanks to the 2-2 achieved in Amsterdam, but more importantly thanks to the superior technical level Roberto Mancini's side has.
TEAM NEWS
Inter
Roberto Mancini will be without the suspended Ivan Cordoba, while Juan Sebastian Veron, Alvaro Recoba and Luis Figo will face a late fitness test.
Ajax
The Dutch side may play without Hedwiges Maduro, Steven Pienaar and Johnny Heitinga who are all still injured, but Blind will welcome back Nourdin Boukhari.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Adriano (Inter)
The emperor is back, or so will the Inter fans hope. After last Saturday’s league goal against Sampdoria, the Brazilian striker will be fully motivated to score more goals and prove his critics wrong. At his best, Adriano is unstoppable, so Ajax will be hoping that this past weekend's goal was just a flash in the pan.
Huntelaar (Ajax)
The former Herenveen striker has done quite well since joining Ajax and will want to impress and have his name recognized throughout Europe in a bid to attract the interest of big teams. This is his chance to shine and become a household name in European competitions.
PROBABLE STARTING XI
Inter (4-4-2):
Toldo; J. Zanetti, Materazzi, Samuel, Wome; Figo, Veron, Cambiasso, Stankovic; Adriano, Martins.
Ajax (4-3-3):
Stekelenburg; Trabelsi, Vermaelen, Maduro, Emanuelson; Pienaar, Lindenbergh, Boukhari; Rosales, Huntelaar, Rosenberg.
PREDICTION
Inter were favourites to easily beat Ajax even in Amsterdam, but then the outcome of the game proved most critics wrong. Same story here, but this time the Nerazzurri should get the job done and qualify for the quarter finals without too much worry.
Inter 2 – 0 Ajax
MY PREDICTION
I don't quite follow either teams in their respective leagues, but I am hoping Ajax go to San Siro with an enthusiastic attitude, and play their own game as they did in the first half of the first leg. I don't feel Inter will be attacking with everything they've got, since they have the away goal advantage, and they definite'y don't enjoy getting ripped apart again. As long as they dont' score first, I think Ajax have a decent chance, one slight slip-up in the Inter defense and Ajax to nick this one by a goal.
Inter 0 - 1 Ajax

I have nothing to do tomorrow exept 2 hours of biology so I'll wake up at 3:30 am to watch the game, because I think it'll be a great one.
3-1 for Inter I predict.

I have faith that Ajax is good enough to win this match. The players are in shape after winning 5 games in a row (of which 2 with 6-0) and playing a game against PSV (0-0) where Ajax was far better in the second half. Huntelaar is scoring goals everywhere and against everyone. He already scored 27 goals this season.

Ajax lately is on fire so I think they can win 3-2. 3x Huntelaar
But I honestly dont know what will happen and I'm so excited. Anything can happen

I hope Ajax will win, but I think it will be either a 0-0 or a 1-1. (Inter Advancing)
Babel must be put in for the last 20 min cause then he can speed out the tired Inter defense.
Veron is back

0-0 at half time.
It's still anyone's game. Of course i want Ajax to win it because we'd have to face them if we beat Juventus.
Ajax should try to get one goal. If they concede, it's pretty much over.

0-0 adriano missed a penalty. Ajax should have also gotten a penalty for the exact same situation then.
Inter dominated ajax though. I still hope we get through, but we have way too many injuries. Even Emanuelson dropped out on the last minute

Disappointing performance by Ajax, but i hope they are saving up for something. If they score too early, they'd have to face hell from Inter for the rest of the match.
If Ajax want any hope of scoring at all, Babel must be brought on early, and not on the 85th minute or something.

I just want Ajax to make atleast 2 goals. Then they can relax. Best is 3 then they can just lay back and play the match till the end

Come on. Babel aint going to do anything. Only time when he's usefull is when he lots and lots of space.
Juanfran is playing terrible and I can't help but to feel suprised every time I see how incredibly slow Boukhari is. Rosenberg is playing very well though.

Inter score.
Aggregate of 3-2. Inter needs to score twice in the next twenth minutes which is unlikely.
Inter to advance as expected.

Felt sorry for Rosenberg, twice he was in the open but someone decided to dribble past 3 people and shoot into the stands, then he gets subbed off. Juanfran was very poor but i think he is a winger? And Pienaar was also a bad choice for a central midfielder, i know there are too many injuries and Maduro had to drop to the back four, but tiny little Pienaar against Inter's huge physical midfielders....... gah. This match was doomed from the start.

Too bad Emanuelson didn't play.

The only thing that made me happy is that Babel was brought in.
Congratulations to Inter, I will support my 2nd favorite team now. (Inter)

Pienaar played as right midfielder and I think he was one of the few who didn't play a bad match. Juanfran isn't a winger, he's just a terrible footballer. He doesn't understand that part of Ajax' style requires short passing over the ground. Inter just gave him all the space he needed and all he could do with it give long balls back to inter.
Congratulations to Inter, I can't argue that they were the better team in both matches.

i felt that rosales, rosenberg and pienaar played the best for ajax.
Its just. i have problems with rosales. he is such a skilled player, and he creates chances out of nothing. but sometimes he justdoes stupid stuff.... gives away everything that they had worked hard for, such as a ppor cross or trying to do a little flick. Even still he played fine, eased through the defence often and was also an option often himself.
Huntelaar did not play so well, i thought, and he didnt previde enough of an attacking option for the boys. its just hard to beat a team like inter, if you dont get decent enough options in the box. way too many shots attempted to be blasted in from outside the box.
Defence did well though, which is a good sign, although they were under alot of pressure often as inter players were often allowed to get right in.

imo it turned out to be a pretty good move. Gave the defence a hard time. It was still a bit harsh to take out Rosales though, he was doing good.
Sadly though overall, the most threatning player for Ajax was a defender, Trabelsi. He put in some dangerous runs. But it shouldn't be the defender doing all the hard work. Where was Rosenborg? Poor today imo.
