Cousin of Barca's Messi rated better talent

Written on 12 Mar 2006 by Liam fcb

Barcelona wounderboy Lionel Messi is facing family competition from his nine year-old cousin Bruno Biancucchi.

Biancucchi is already rated a better talent than Messi at the same age by his club coach, Roberto Ramirez at Renato Cesarini.

"He has the same technical ability as Lionel," said Ramirez, "except he does everything mucn quicker than Lionel."

But Dad Claudio says: "It's too early to compare Bruno with Lionel. I don't know if football will be his career. We'll have to wait and see when he is 11 or 12 whether he decides to take it seriously."

laugh.gif Haha this is ridiculous. This kid is nine? That's great, because by the time he breaks onto the first-team football scene, Messi will be a veteran and Argentina will be unstoppable! bigsmile.gif Lots of great young Argentinians making the headlines these days...good news.
Maradona^10
but dont forget some of them can be a flop during their prime age

ortega use to be hailed as maradona successor, great speed and dribbling
but failed to shine at the end.

Lets hope messi, tevez and all the other youngster can be a great players in future.

This is great news for Argentina. They keep producing fabulous young players.

what happened to him? He's already 12 and still in argentina? Can't be that good...
Maradona^10
i can see by 2020, there will be tons of new messi instead of new maradona.

He's a flop b/c at 12 he hasn't earned a contract from Europe?

In the words of the great G.O.B. "C'MON!!!" - this is getting pretty redicolous. Hey, Kun and Maradona's daughter are having a baby, I guess that his embroy is alreday being scouted?

very rarely, do you really get to see what a player is going to be like before he reaches the age of 20. Remember, Batistuta? If these kids are pushed too far too fast, they will become flops. An atheletes body has to fully develop before he/she can compete at the highest leve. (obviously for some sports its different-gymanstics for women - but for soccer the kids should be allowed out of puberty before they can be really assessed.

lol dude, that was ironic.

Most of the time, the young players who are hyped up to be the next best thing flop and players like Messi who come from nowhere usually become world-beaters.
