Munich prosecutors were unavailable for immediate comment. They had said on Wednesday that they were studying a media report that several Bundesliga players, including a German international, might be involved in the scandal.

Personally I don't know what to think, this is huge news. Although the article only says that Schweinsteiger is being questioned, not that he is involved, this still seems very suspicious to me. I don't understand why he would do this though, he is only young and has his entire career ahead of him, it just seems strange that he would do something like this. Personally I don't think he was involved in this, but there is no smoke without fire.

i think it is a lot of bullshit. bayern reacted the best way, they will kick some asses

i do not believe it is true. schweini is young, 21. he will play 10 more years, making millions. playing for germany. IF he did anything, what i truely do not believe, he must be terrible stupid. i think it is a lie. no idea why someone should tell that, maybe to add some more problems to the german football. i just think soon we will all know that it is not true.

Players like Schweinsteiger would certainly dont do this just for the money...
In case they are involved he would likely be blackmailed and thats always possible as you just have to dig deep enough to be capable of doing sth like that...I bet Germany is not the only country in which incidents like this will be revealed.
Everywhere where money is available - crim aint too far away.

it just sucks. i mean, i bet in every league there are games "bought". that happens everywhere. it just sucks and makes me angry. because football should be football. and i hate it to know that some players MIGHT be involved.

i still don´t believe schweinsteiger is involved and i think the timing of letting it out sucks even more. when will football be football again?

oh igrnore me. it is the lack of sleep and the anger.

In my opininio its also possible that its all a set up to try to prevent a possible decision of the german courts to legalize sport beting in the end of march...

Hm, what would change if it gets legalized? Does anybody know?
I mean, will 14year olds like I did some years ago still be allowed to bet or what?
Can't see right now what the changes would be.

you could legalize it in general, but it would still be illegal, to bet on a match that you are participating in. That is a big no no for obvious reasons.

Ah yeah, betting on a match you are part in can obviously not be allowed.
But there are enough tricks to bet yourself I guess, just let a mate make your bets etc.
