as far as i know, this guy does tons of high end fashionable stuff for adidas called Y3, these could just be for fashion more than anything else (accounts for the strange tread) but either way they look disgusting

theres nothin interesting in it ... only that YY is in long partnership with adidas and that he now ... for the first time ... designed a football boot for adidas which you can buy for 450 € ... and that there are only 1000 uppers avaliable for each design
PCJL
The last ones remind me of the fila sharks lol.

I'll try. I'm german, sorry for my bad bad bad english.

KUNSTSCHUSS - you can't really translate this - it's means a extreme difficult goalkick, perhapbs trickshot might be a translation, but the part "KUNST" is also the german word for "art". SCHUSS is just "shot".

The world of sports aspires to technology und functionality, while fasion is the direct opposite.
Fashion wants excess, says Yohji Yamamoto. The Japanese cooperates with adidas for years - with his new soccer shoes he seems to link both worlds. It's based on the new TUNIT system, which enables you to individually combine upper, sole and studs.
On the outside the shoes show artworks of the japanese artist Taishi Hayashi.
The four designs "TUNIT YY" are limited to 1000 pairs each and available in the stores from July.
Price circa 450€.

Do people know that other boots exist?

The colours are nice but they are plastic, like wearing a Lidl bag on your feet.
niterida09
i think its more the technology and the customizable BS that people like. Its pure bullshat......but i LOVE it
strikerboy
so ugly! fish.gif

I find it amusing how pretty much everyone here hates those Filas with dragons or sharks or whatever, but love all this junk.

This is a fucking insult to soccer. Soccer is a sport. Boots are a part of equipment. Its not a fashion show.

Its a sport. And some joker has bloody has put on cartoon animals on a boot. And the funny thing is, not kids are liking it, teenagers and young adults are.

And im not sorry for expressing my opinion this way. The only thing I like about these is that I will never see them in my country.

^Couldnt agree more.

You guys are missing the point. I dont think they're uppers meant for playing. They're experimental sport/fashion fusion items meant for catwalks or hanging on the wall or something, like most of the stuff that comes out of high end fasion shows these days. Go check out other stuff from the Y-3 collection. Its not really meant for sport, its inspired by sport and a representation of what sport means to people, the feelings it invokes etc. Anyone who would actually want to wear a pair of boots like that in a game is fucking daft, but i think they are an interesting example of the possibilities that a world class fashion designer draws from sport.
ejteK
Yohji Yamamoto is a fashion designer...mainly womens clothing, but he's done colabs with adidas and theres a whole Y-3 line. I think this was just one of those "its beautiful art" moments *cue french mime*.

offtopic2.gif ...both the same material, anyhow, both plastic. Synthetic PU (Polyurethane) with a nylon/polyesther backing. The Nike material uses a better quality microfibre backing though, in my opinion.

Personally I cant say I like these, but for sure they are for fashion and for the street. If you are familiar with YY, you will know these are definitely in his style, and there are certainly a market for these.

Probably not the same market on this forum though. smile.gif

cheers
