Hey, I just bought these shoes on my trip to Japan. However I have no idea what they are. All the box says is Climacool. Can anyone help me find out more info on these shoes? I'm sorry about this new topic. I would have posted this in the "Your Boots" , but I don't know what they are.

~Thanks
P.S. I'm new to posting pics so bear with me if it doesn't work...

Ah, the ClimaCool Boots! They didn't really have an official name-- they were just called the "ClimaCool". These were a Japanese exclusive release a few years back. Eurosport (US) tried to get a limited shipment of these about two years ago but were unsucessful. These were released later in Germany, but only about 1000 pairs or so surfaced. These didn't do all that well, so they stopped making them.
I personally think these were more of a prototype that Adidas came up with to test their ClimaCool tech. in real boots without having to make a full scale release. Once they figured out that it would work with some tweaking, they introduced it with the Tunit.
Keep in mind, these may be rather low-end boots so don't expect something really amazing out of them. How much did you pick them up for?
Anyway, wear them and tell us how it goes! I'm very intrested to see if Adidas's early attempt at a ClimaCool boot worked.

Low end :S? What do you mean by that?
They were on "sale" for around $70 CND

By that I mean they don't have the same aneurysms as a high end boot. As far as I can tell, these don't have offset lacing and the laces used on them don't look like the higher end laces either. I could be wrong though. I'm not well versed in these and I haven't seen them in person. Still, $70 CDN is a steal

Please do post your impressions. This is a rare kind of boot in that almost nobody stateside has them. It'd be great to see if they are worth looking into.

ok, I practice thur on turf so I'll post around 8 pm Pacific time. Yes they are only for turf. The salesperson and myself had an interesting time communicating that out. (cause I don't speak any japanese)

Hey, so I used the boots today. There pretty sweet. The synthetic is quite looser than expected. The feel like leather more than synthetic. Extremely light. I can't really quite guage the "ClimaCool" part of them. Great boots. They're quite different from abs, or Puma Kings, I can't compare them to vaps cause I've never worn vaps. I love them, comfy, light, (can't tell about durability, only worn them once), big kicking surface. Only thing I don't like is the tongue. The top part folds over. Had adidas kept the tongue small. They would have been much much better. Overall rating 8.3/10 cause they're just for turf. Lower had they been for grass.
