Nah they are the blackout absolutes. Come to the conclusion a while ago before they were released that adidas released a black out that looked like the Blackout/Red Pulse when they were still testing them. He must of kept them or something. Zidane and alot of the players wore them.

Even though Lampard is one of my favorite players, I'm gonna side against you and go with nipper. They're pulses. You can tell cause the three stripes are straight (pulses) not the curvy new style (abs)!!!

personally i don't like them. they are so dull.

maybe he's regulary not allowed to play with other boots then rbk or to show another brand as rbk on his feet. cisse is officialy sponsored by adidas, so its not the prob.
at the 1st german league there are a lot of players with blackout adidas-boots.
but i think its funny to see, that all german players play with adidas-boots when they play for germany. in the league they use different boots. eg klose plays with air legend r10 when he plays for werder.

Morientes has been wearing Adidas for years though. And Adidas owns Reebok.

I'm going to guess he just prefers the fit of the prototypes he had (the blacked out ones) to his proper ones. Maybe they're really worn in and comfy.
