I will be getting a new pair of indoor/turf boots for use on hardwood (gym), turf, and generally wear it to school and play it on cement or tennis court. Right now, I have the adidas pulsado indoor and they are loosing traction and I don't like them very much.

My first choice right now is the Absolute a3 Turf (White/Gold - so sexy!). Does anyone have them? Is the sizing of the absolute a3 turf the same as FG/SG?? I'm from Toronto, Canada and we don't have the White/Gold Absolutes in turf style so I cant try them on, but I can try the absolute FG's on. I found out that the F50.6 Tunit has no external heel counter so that is out of the question unless someone proves otherwise.
Another thing is does anyone know a good store in Toronto for soccer? Or just a good north american website to get soccer boots from?

I need some inputs ASAP on which boots are good for the uses I mentioned before. Your help will be appreciated!!

Yea I saw those on the database post. I guess those are the only places...
Anyone know if the Absolute a3 sizings are the same as Absolute FGs, other abs, and pulses/pulsions/pulsados?
I really need help as I need these boots ASAP and I can't try them on so I have to find the right size.

Are the Tunit a3 Turf boots any good?? On soccer.com it says they don't have a heel counter but I think Adidas used something else instead?
JOOPER
i have the nike air zoom control and they're perfect. they're really comfy and good grip and because of the thin material you get a really nice touch

Supp my fellow canadian! cheers1.gif I'm from toronto. Youth WC is coming to my city!! banana.gif
About the Tunit turf version, it doesn't have a heel counter according to soccer.com and from all the pics. Will I have problems with my heel and related support problems or the tunits have some other type of heel support that's built in maybe??

Any Vapors.

Right now I have the Adidas a3 Absolutes White/Gold, and I absolutely LOVE them! I could go in to so much about them, so to make it easier, I'll just post my review of them from BootNR. Here it is:

Adidas Predator Absolute a3

Aesthetics- 9.5/10

I think that these are the best-looking turf/indoor boots out there. In both of the colorways right now, the boots look great, especially in the flashy white/gold color combination. These are very flashy boots, like I just stated, so if you're looking to stand out on the turf or at your indoor game, then these are the boots to own. If you always want to be making a fashion statement on the field, then any of the new Absolute swould be great boots for you! I especially like how the new Predator elements look, and the way how they just curve around the boot to continue into the Adidas symbol (three stripes) on the outside of the boot. The asymetrical lacing looks very cool, and the whole boot in general looks very futuristic.

Value- 9/10

Considering that these boots are only around $100 at most stores (though you can find them for less than $90 in some places on the web), I think that these are a great deal, considering all of the technology and looks you get with the boots. They have basically the same Predator technologies, among other things, as the non-a3 Absolutes, for half the price. These are probably some of the best turf boots that money can buy, and considering that these are some of the most expensive turf boots currently on sale, I think they're a steal at less than $100.

Comfort- 9.5/10

These are probably the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. No, I did not say turf boots, I said boots IN GENERAL!!!!! I have had these boots since the first few weeks that they came out, and I have not yet experienced one blister, one pain in my foot, just comfort!! The a3 cushioning system, even though I sort of think is a take-off on Nike Shox, works wonders for comfort and cushions my every step. I can definetely feel a lot more cushioning than in some of my other old turf shoes. They're the perfect width for my thin feet, though I have a friend who has very wide feet and he says that they fit him perfectly since the microfiber that the upper is made of stretches a slight bit. These are just some very comfortable boots.

Performance- 9/10

These boots perform to every level that I have been expecting. The a3 cushioning system located in the heel of the boot, not only is very comfortable, it also helps me just the slightest bit in my performance. They give a little more bounce and spring than the Nike Shox, which is great for many people who play soccer, especially for goalkeepers like myself, since we need to jump and dive all over the place. They also aren't too heavy either, and feel alot lighter than my other turf shoes, such as my old Puma King Allround, even though the difference in weight is a matter of ounces. And when I first got them, I thought I was going to be slipping and sliding everywhere indoors. But I have played both on hardwood and on turf, and I can say that the traction that the boot gives me is good. It's not as great on hardwood as some boots with gum-rubber soles, but they're still very uesable.

Durability- 8/10

In the few months that I've had these boots, they have held up relatively well, considering that I use them almost every day of the week. No sole separation and no grip fading, but the upper is looking worn. Some flakes of the gold paint on them is missing, but it really isn't that noticable. Also, these boots get really scuffed in the toe area, since they're being played on indoor hard surfaces, so it's very difficutlt to keep them looking sparkling new.

Overall- 9/10

I like these boots even more than my Vapors (which I love ever so much), so that just goes to show you how much I absolutely love my Absolutes. (I know, it wasn't a good pun). Anyways, these are probably the best turf boots that you can buy right now. They can be played on a multitude of surfaces, like indoors, turf, and hard ground, so they're always going to be useful. If you want some comfortable, pretty durable, amazing-looking, all-around good turf/indoors/training boots, then I would say you wouldn't go wrong with the Adidas Absolute a3's.

P.S.-- I'm not sure about the sizing between the a3's and the FG/SG Absolutes, yet I'm sure that they should be pretty similar. The only problem is that the microfiber that the a3 Abs are made of on the upper won't stretch like the K leather upper of the FG/SG Absolutes. If you have any more questions about the a3's, feel free to ask.

Damn that was too helpful... props to KieranD9! So the upper is actually microfiber? Cuz I saw on the adidas site that the white/gold and black/red are of full grain leather and the becks are microfiber, but w/e it doesnt really matter to me. The white/gold just looks amazing... becks turf arnt that good in person imo.
Do u happen to have a pulsado(indoor) or pulsion? if so is the sizing any diff from those boots? Also how is the traction on hardwood (gym)?
I just asked soccer.com and they didnt have anything close to my size for the Absolute a3, so does anyone know a good soccer boots site that ships to canada with reasonably rates? (no eastbay plz cuz it takes them 3+ weeks to ship to toronto)
I've been lookin for a boot review site forever and had no luck.. BootNR looks good but i noticed their forums look awful like soccerpulse rolleyes.gif .

The Absolute a3's upper, for all three colorways, is microfiber. If you go to soccer.com and then to the Absolute a3's, it says on a chart at the bottom that the upper is microfiber.

And a good site that ships to Canada is FootLocker, although it's not a soccer site.

I haven't had the Pulsado Indoors or Pulsion Indoors, so I'm not sure about the sizing differential there. Anyways, the traction of the Absolute a3's on hardwood is pretty good. It's not as good traction as indoor shoes like the Adidas Sambas that have a gum-rubber and grippy indoor outsole, but at least you won't be slipping every time you turn.

For pulsion i was talkin bout outdoor but I think the sizing won't be off by too much. I think I have my feet are wide at the front so when I got my pulsion outdoor and pulsado indoor, I had to get .5 size larger so it wasnt so tight on me and now there's a thumb's space at the front of my shoes and I don't really like that. That was when I was a nub at buyin soccer boots but now I know the shoes will mold to ur feet so I'm gonna get something that fits well. How are the abs on stretchin and molding to ur feet?
I purchased from Footlocker and champs sites and both places took forever to ship and my friend ordered from eastbay 2 weeks ago and it still hasnt arrived yet..

I presume when you ask about the Absolutes molding and stretching to my feet that you're talking about the a3's, so I'll answer that. Since they are microfiber, they really do not stretch much, if any. Although the microfiber is very supple, it doesn't seem like it would be able to mold like K leather. I haven't tried the "shower trick" yet though, so I may try that to make them conform to my feet more, because they're pretty loose but still very comfortable.

Yea i was wonderin bout the a3's. I hope this microfiber tech really stands up to Adidas' claims: "Lightweight microfiber synthetic upper for soft,glove-like fit".
I really doubt this but on the Adi site:"a3 +Predator Absolute
Take the field in absolutely the most powerful Predator® ever. Or, with an easy swap of its PowerPulse™ sockliner, you can just as easily take the field in the lightest Predator® ever."
So does it actually have the exchangeable PowerPulse sockliner?
I still think taking your shoes into the showers aint such a good idea.. lol

No, the Absolute a3's don't have the exchangable PowerPulse sockliner. It's just one sockliner that's well cushioned and doesn't have the PowerPulse thing. And you can't take the sockliner out to clean it, which sort of sucks if it starts to smell...
Fr33styler 24/7
Damnit i knew it lol, didnt expect it to have the powerpulse anyways.
