a little about me.. im 16 years old.. been playing soccer since i was 5 years old..on one of the best team in the league...i have played soccer 9 years (5-14).. and i was on top of my team. I had speed, agility, stamina. All waht a soccer player should have but then i had some health problems and had to leave soccer for a year and a half.. now doctors say im 100% fine and i can go back to persue my dream (with soccer). Now here is the part where i need help.. for this year and a half i didnt once even touch the ball.. but i believe if i am going to start training very hard there is a chance for me to get back on the top game that i was. I was the best player on the team then.. so guys please.. if u can tip me wiht some really good tips .. fast ones too.. this summer i am looking forward to joining and staying. very serious this time.. i want to be on the top of my game..do u guys recommend something? Something that i can do fast and improve fast too? ANd is there a chance for me to get back on the top game that i once was..If i train hard ofcourse
Thank you guys , i hope you help me and give some really good tips on speed, accuracy, power shots.etc..

there is no way you can improve real fast or get back to playing the way you use to after a year and a half not playing.

just get back into training, dont start off too heavy straight away cause your body isnt use to the training..so just start off slow then just keep increasing it as the weeks pass on

I was out for a year when I broke my knee cap. Really there is no fast way. You just have to take it easy in the beginning and slowly build or your body won't be ready for it. Believe me if you start training hard too soon you won't like the results. It's been about a year and a half since I returned from my knee injury (I had 3 surgeries), and I still don't have the stamina I used to have, even with months of rehab, and running every day. Doing nothing for a year really takes a tole on your body, and you don't realize it's happening.

Spend some time just playing with the ball, perhaps purchase a smaller ball size, and just get used to your touch once again.Play with the ball for about an hour or two every day,and if possible perhaps join an indoor team.Biggest problem in this country, imo,in regards to player development is that people just do not spend enough time individually with the ball. This is why certain brazilans and africans are so good, due to it being there only source of entertainment, the ball is your friend.Spend some time with out, take it out occasionaly, and treat it well. While i know i am presenting a generalisit view, control, touch and coordination are all areas we cna improve on.smile.gif

ty for tthe tips.. but is it possible after 1 year out of soccer.. do get back on my top game like i was with hard work and trainning everyday?
The ball is always clean
I stopped playing for longer than you did and I cant get my old form back now, but that is because I had ALONG time away from the game. I worked super hard over the summer practicing everyday for countless hours, practically giving up my entire summer, and was able to become good again but now I am just like abit above the average player. You have to work hard to become good again. I keep slowly improving and you can too just work hard. I remember someone on this forum say that form is temporary but class is permanent, so if you were in a different class than other people, you should be able to get back there. Thats only if you work hard enough
