I've been told to always breathe in through my nose, and out through my mouth, but when I'm playing I don't really think of it too much.

Yes. I tend not to think too much about breathing, it just sort of happens.

If you're having breathing problems, chances are it's a medical reason (ie: asthma, maybe you have a cold, etc.) or you just don't have good enough cardio right now. So get out there and start running, try to get yourself some stamina.

just breathe anyway that is comfy. but always use huge pants when closing in on someone with the ball. (pretend you darth varder) they will get really scared. it is quite amusing if you are playing somewaht horrible teams. sofunny.gif

Only use my nose(in/out) Stamina improves greatly and with practice you wont gasp for air through mouth even when youve pushed yourself far eg. sprints. Im not an expert on this topic so im not sure what is the right or wrong way but this is my technique.Bye

in through nose and out through mouth works on cold or chilly days. it will warm the air more before it gets to your lungs, keeping you warmer and breating better.

lol.. id ignore the posts trying to poke fun at this, bcoz it actually is a huge issue in football.. i think when training, its very important to keep a regular breathing pattern - a continuous rhythm.. apparently, the exhaling part is said to be more important than the inhaling part of breathing when jogging.. obviously its best in through the nose n out through the mouth in all situations.. try to inhale through the nose slowly in a controlled fashion, and let it all out much more quickly through the mouth... unfortunately, i do find this hard to maintain during a game, and the fitter you are, the less you will have to worry about your breathing.. it will all come naturally..

In through the nose/out through the mouth is what I was taught in order to keep a maximum amount of oxygen available in your lungs. That seems to be the general concensus as well.
Dandinho
I breathe in with both my nose and mouth and out with just my nose

d0n't know why but I seem to get alot of breath
