Please for those who train higher level help me with this....
I have got great skills to pass my opposition but when i get the chance to run , suddenly my opposition kills me with pace and i lose the ball.
I am left Striker ( guess who plays there whistling.gif ) but now want to change to more Defensive Midfielder coz of the reason above.

How can i improve my pace?

Thank You

Speed Training
Plyometrics - FANTASTIC at developing QUICKNESS (which is different from all out speed... this is basically your acceleration or first 10 yards).
How to: Improve Your Sprinting
Sprinting - This focuses on technique which is extremely important.

Basically, you want to try and use your arms for extra power. Most people run without thinking about their arms movement, they give extra speed. Also what all sprinters do is stride longer than normal people. You want to be improving your stride length. Make sure you stretch your legs properly before it to loosen the muscles. Don't run tense, the less tense you are, the better your technique and the faster you run.

You don't nessecarily need pure pace to beat a man, if you're fast enough over 5-10 meters, you want to be infront of the man instead of running side by side or else hes going to take the ball. sprint with the ball but start moving inside so he has to go wider to get to you, that'll slow him down a fraction.

Do plymetrics it really helps it makes you be able to explode better.
