SG and FG make a HUGE difference. if it didnt, they woul only make one kind. if you live in a place with dry hard fields with not a lot of grass you NEED firm grounds or it willl cause bruising on the bottoms of your feet. however if you live in a place with lush grass areas and it is wet a lot then soft ground would be the better way to go. but if you play on hard fields DONT GET SG

I've always worn SG and i've never had a problem...the grounds aren't soft either

Big difference mate. Playing on hard ground with SG boots put me right off SG boots for years and years. Now I own both FG and SG boots and I wouldn't have it any other way.

If I was to buy one pair of boots I'd get FG - but probably Adidas Traxion FG because the studs are quite long.

Playing on harder ground with SG boots is just painful on your feet and puts stress on your knees too.

actually i think they would still make them even if it didnt really matter. i think if adidas and nike could think of other field conditions they would make boots to suit it.

theyve yet to come out with the snowy ground boots.

if you play in a rainy day in a very soft pitch with hg or fg studs or in a synthetic hard pitch with sg well yes, it makes a difference, but if you play in a normal pitch that the conditions are not very huge with sg, fg, or hg, there is any difference.

Yeah cos firm ground u can use on astro turf n soft ground u cnt...so firm fround is well better.
