I've got kinda the same problem, and it's not as easy as it seems(for me anyway) cause if you haven't talked to her, what the hell are you supposed to do? Go up to her out of nowhere and start talking to her like you've known her for years? That's kind of strange, don't you think? Well, I think I'm gonna wait it out until the right time where's it's not awkward to talk to her in my case so she's not all "weirded-out" and whatnot, and for now just make a good impression from a distance. I think it would have to be something that you can both relate to. Like for example, if you both have a class together or something, and someone does something funny or stupid, strike up a conversation with her about it. Even if it's just a couple lines each, it's still something, and it gives you blocks to build on. That acts as your ice-breaker so you'll be able to talk with her about other things for longer. Being part of the same general group of friends helps, as well. For example, if you go to the same parties it's easier to have something you can relate to her with. Anyway... I'm no expert on this stuff - in fact, I've got the same problem. Not exactly the same, but I really have trouble going up and talking to people. I'm terrible at making friends.
