Im writing a paper on the MLS expanding and why I personally feel New Orleans should have a team. Anyone got any advice/things I should add in on the essay? I really want to blow him away with this one, ive slacked his class all year and I did the same thing last year and turned in my final essay as a 24 page report. Crushed the 2nd longest essay at 6 pages and she counted it as 2 essays so I got a major boost in my grade haha, but does anyone have any suggestions?

Just tell about all the good things that it will bring to New Orleans like Tourism and money basically. Maybe find some statistic of the amount of money that MLS teams bring in every year and how the team could help the city get back on its feet after what Katrina did. Also you could tell about how much passion that the people of New Orleans have for the game and how much joy it will bring to the city. That's all I can think of right now...

Last year I did a persuasive on Becks coming causing the sport to grow. I used the Pele Cosmos as an example that soccer can be popular, at least for a bit. That may not be as relevant in your situation though.You could try and find a number of youth in NO playing, and try to compare that with kids playing other sports. Use the logic that soccer supporting kids will become soccer supporting adults, and would continue to support a team. But yea, basically if you could find that soccer was one of the most popular sports among kids, that could be quality to use.
