See Adam, gotta have faith in your boys to the end. happy.gif A point against Citeh should do it, but you most likely won't even need that with your advantage on GD.

Spelt Ceilí, its Irish alright.

On other news lads, i dunno why i havnt mentioned before. But for any American's, do you know Dhani Jones?? Plays for the cincinnati bengals? Anyway he's coming to my club for two weeks to learn how to play hurling (thats the irish sport i play). Its going to be saaavage, he's doing it for an American TV channel, he wants to go to mass on sunday and then for a meal afterwards, AND.... he's going with my family, cant wait.
Anyone from America know if he's really well known over there or know anything about him?

Yeah he's decent, not too amazing, but the Cincinnati Bengals are my favorite "football' -(pssh i think its ridiculous we call it that in america) team

agreed, i dont see derby beating reading. reading are poo atm, but derby are um poo er happy.gif
morientesfan910
well in reality derby have a good striker named villa, who if he were there in august, he might, and i say might have pulled a tevez, and their goalie sucks, and their defnse sucks so he would have been on his own, as the other strikers sucked. the captain shouldnt have left tho, matthew oakley, he is good
Lockdown
carroll, their kinda 1st/2nd choice keeper, was immense against us, he was like a brick wall until they scored. guess he wanted to show his old club a thing or two. hes been pretty poor since then
edit: used my 2000th post somewhere, im on here too much i think
TATE It To The Next Level!
^^ kenny miller is a great striker too but derby are still terrible
Lockdown
they also have earnshaw, who if i recall correctly they spent a bucketload on. and he sucks. bad.

Predator 23
I hope Fulham stay up, got a soft spot for the Americans.
Ayresome
I hope Birmingham stay up, I want Bullard happy.gif
TATE It To The Next Level!
bullard made a mistake leaving wigan, they were decent in their first season but have been horrible since. and i'm with you pred,it would be nice to see fulham stay up but theyll only be fighting relegation again next year so what happens happens
Predator 23
I think Fulham could very easily survive comfortably next year. This year, they played without McBride for that long stretch, and lately he's shown what he means to the team. They've just screwed them selves conceding all those late goals and losing all those away games. If they go down, they will probably deserve it, but I think they're good enough to stay.
Texas Red Devil
Dempsey sure hasn't done as good as I thought he would considering he start to the season sad.gif Bullard's form has been top drawer lately.

They've definitely got the fire power to stay up.
Nipples
Boca - River was awesome. Quite a good game, but the atmosphere was so good!
Daninho777
agree nothings like south american rivalry, crowds go off been to boca-river a few times and it was awesome and flamengo-vasco goes off too
Lockdown
so....dont let the place die!
Crofty
How can it ever die when you're around?? laugh.gif

I want Derby to stay up. tongue.gif At least they're entertaining and good for goal difference.

suppose smile.gif

its ok, stoke will replace derby as the league whipping boys, no question

Remember a team worse than them will be up as well through the playoffs, a second whipping boy clapping.gif
TATE It To The Next Level!
personally, i think the three teams at the bottom of the premiership table should play the 3rd, 4th and 5th place champ. teams to see who gets to stay/move up and who stays/goes down or somethin like that. because some of the teams that move up are just god awful and it is a large detriment to the clubs that move down, even though they wuld have much more of a fighting chance in the prem.

I see what you mean, if they could find a way to make it practical it would be good. Its really only come up now because derby have been so fucking awful (i dont even understand how they won the playoffs?) but anything that ensures the best teams are playing in the top flight is a good idea I guess.
Ayresome
I'm glad West Brom are up, will be great to see Mozza, Mowbray and Greening back on Teesside. Never know, we may get over 30,000 attenance that day... yay!
Predator 23
So I just read the post lost in the crash last year are going to be retrieved. I guess we're getting our old Player Spotting back?

i just think as the wealth gap between the championship and the premier league widens, the teams coming will progressively be worse off and less likely to survive, more so than in previous years. and from what ive seen, stoke hadnt really lit the championship on fire, with most people concentrating on the fact that theyve managed to make it to the top for the first time in years

hope so. way for chris to pick the day im sick from school to have some downtime sad.gif
Predator 23
If you go with your plan though, you pretty much doom the Championship. Like you said, the money is getting to be a bigger and bigger obstacle when competing with the Premier League. In your scenario, these lower PL teams would win most of the time, with much more expensive squads. They continue to get another year of PL revenue while the losing team is stays stuck in the 'Ship. It doesn't give those teams the chance to come up and get their money, even if for only a year.
Lockdown
not my idea, thats tates idea. im all for the system we've got now. every leagues got its derby of 07/08 and its sunderland of 05/06

Oh yeah my fault poster_oops.gif

arg. instead of showing any of the final round of epl games, sky in nzs decided to just repeatedly play a 30min promo reel of the olympics mad.gif
