It's easy rolleyes.gif
I am not coach but a player, so will tell u wat i did while i had the same problem.

You do good in practice or friendly match because there is no more pressure on you.. But in big games or tournaments,,, u gotto play better and a lot , so thats really huge.

all in all.. Just relax, play more top flight matches and you will adapt to it.
and another way to gain confidence is to score goals or assist and even wining matches tongue.gif

yes but the best way for me if u want to know smile.gif is to forget what is at stake, hu cares if u stuff up just be daring n play well, id din't have ne confidence probelem when i was young but i am 15 now n this is how i try to be confident, i also know that god already has written my future n wateva happens must be good for me even if i don't know it at the time. So just be happy n play for fun, as in i'm not saying don't take the game seriously, but if ur a creative player u have to have fun on the pitch otherwise u can stuff up, this is my imo.

I know a guy who is an absolutely fantastic player. He seems to look at the game as such a simple easy process, and I think that's why he plays well. He just thinks everything is so easy and he just goes out and does everything so simple. I should mention, this guy plays semi-pro right now and he dances through his opponents like they're cones. I think he has trials in England somewhere soon. So I guess what i'm saying is, try not to think too complex while you play. I think that may only come with more experience but if you look at the game as simple and easy (know that you can do anything out there), you'll play well.

For me, I have many superstitions and generally if I can find the one superstition that works for me, i'll be set for the rest of the season. Right now for me it's a certain song I listen to before I play (ok, I have many others that go along with that but those never change). The song may work for me because I used to go outside, put on my mp3 player with that song, and just juggle around and do whatever. Maybe you could try that?

One good performance will boost your confidence. Just realise if you can do good in a friendly you can do good in a normal match.

gaining confidence is all in the mind...just think of it this way, your up against another human who is the same as you so why should you feel as if your inferior to him?

when your in a competitive match, just do what you do in training, keep it simple..nothing fancy and you should be fine

i played 11 aside football for the first time in 2 years, after i got my first shot on target your confidence just grows

Look for a psychiatrist! It's a serious problem and you need to seek help now!
Sky
all conference you are sooooo funny, you should seriusly consider stand up , maybe give shows during half time or something

Man, my advice to you is to love what you do. love the game and have the ball and your best friend. the one that loves the game, the one that enjoys it and lives for it will always be the #1. in you mind you should be always winning. if you make a mistake keep trying[hard] and dont call yourself stupid, no one is perfect! this might sound as a simple advice I know but is the truth. the best moment in life for you should be the minute you step into the pitch to have a game, the moment you feel the ball, make a pass, controlling, driblling, shooting. Isn’t it marvelous!?
F6
What you do is put it into perspective think about it it's a football game i have my whole life ahead of me ...wot am i going to do if i play crap what you do is set up something for after the game or the next day so when you are playin you have something to look forward to after it .

OR

After the game take a piece of paper and write down the positives and negatives of your play in the game then take the positives and rip them up and look at the negatives as they are the one's that matter .

Also when you are playing dont be a fool like doing stepovers and the guy then easily takes the ball of you or go in for a 2 footed challenge and miss the guy completely . When a guy comes up against you tense up your body and stay strong so he bounces off you then look for the open man and pass or if you have a eye for goal and in a good position and then have a pop

Main thing is to let your fellow players know how you are feeling , they will hopefully encourage you and give you the motivation you need . If they know your feeling down they will always have your back on the pitch
AxedByMe
I get confident if my team mates support me and if i play good consistently, its jus the thing that grows as time goes past

Well what i find is i just ignore any comments of complaint if any our made. And ignore what i think others mite think of me.

We all get people on the sides saying you should of done this done that but screw them.

If you think about what others say to much then you overthink your plays and lose confidanc ein your own decisions.

Lets say you keep missing chances, eg i was on trial at a new club and i missed about 8opengoals cos i was so nervese, but i was completely ripping thru them with my movement.

I just calmed myself and said kep going if you dont carry on the same you wont score. So basicaly im saying keep on doing the same things that you feal is write (Naturally not opinion of spectators) and keep at it.

I lost alot of confidance thru injury and well continues shots were the only way to get over it cos i believed i would never score at certain times but i just blanked it out and kept digging away. And the confidance came.

Scored 9 goals next training session thumbsup.gif but still missed loads laugh.gif

Just gotta use same principles in a game block out other people and keep trying and trying with what your football instics say and dont wory bout what others think of it.

try not to get angry at urself and brush off any mistakes learning from them just stay calm.
