im looking to get some new shin guards, does anyone recommend anything? i want some relatively small ones that will stay on and i dont need ankle pads. i also need help with sizing, how do you figure out what size to get? im looking at these,

I have been using J-guards without sleeves (they didnt come with) and have had no problems. Feels like nothing, although it is a little thin and light, that i think it would crack if someone tried to hack me. So if you play midfielder or your league is fairly rough, i would recommend Tiempos, or the Team soemthing that has air pads, i tried them on once and they were very nice.

I personally have the tiempo team, they aren't bad, I can play a few hours and they barely move. The adidas silhouette's look better though, not sure how well they hold up.

addidas are my favorites, lampard also wears them.

I have the Black/white and gold swoosh ones. They aren't anything special. I haven't tried any shin pads that didn't have velcro strappy thingys, but I'm sure the other two would work well with a good sleeve or just some tape. The adidas suilloette (spelling? :S) ones look pretty sweet, and they come with sleeves. I'd go with those if I were you.

vapor lites. i love them. and they are relatively cheap. i use shin guard sleeves though. they just feel more snug.

I cut off the ankle part off my shin guards and all the strpas and they're great now lol I hate using straps and tight things cause it cause cramp and pain in my calfs

there are short ones, and like long ones with ankle protections, get those with ankle protection just for safety.

the ankle protection is lame though it just moves the stress elsewere the nike ankle sleeve things are what you need

i have the new vapor lites... the ones with the dots on them... BEST SHINGAURDS THAT I HAVE EVER OWNED! its like they arent even there... granted i wear the smallest ones lol
