Anyone else been watching or interested in it?

Ronnie won his game yesterday, and Ebdon played a god game today,

I would really love Ronnie to win this year, Hendry is currently tied at 9-9!

I watch the World Championships when theyre on but theres something about snooker of late that just makes you want to turn off.

As for this years championship, i have a feeling it could be Matthew Stevens year, he has come close on many occasions, getting to finals, semi finals etc so would be nice to see him take the crown. If its not him then Steve Davis. thumbsup.gif

After watching the Stevens-Swail game today, I really have begun to wonder what can be done to lower the number of 'kicks' that occur in a game. There was literally a kick every 5 or 6 shots in that game and the tables seem generally not up to scratch. It's ridiculous for world class professionals to be playing on such sub-standard equipment with so much money, ranking points and reputation at risk and seemingly down to luck.

Anyway, after that game, Mathew Stevens looks in good form and MArk Williams had a fantastic win against Anthony Hamilton too, both were impressive. You can never rule out Ronnie O'S though, especially now old rival Hendry has crashed out.

What an amazing game between Hendry and Bond, the game had everything, Bond looked comfortable then Hendry came back and showed the fighting spirits that have propelled him to win everything in the game. What a great finish though, Bond to pot the black for the win then the white going on and then clinching it on a re-spotted black, what a fantastic game and a great advertisement for the game of snooker.

Like you said will you can never discount Rocket Ronnie, he is still the best player in the game and he will be there or there abouts when it comes to the end. Not sure how the draw is but a Stevens v Ronnie final would be amazing.

Ronnie and Ebdon playing some of their best shots this year! And Dott the Scotsman looks good as well, I still think Ronnie can do it.

Anyone else think that Hendry's comments after his defeat were rather reminiscent of a certain Mourinho?

I'm just watching Ronnie O' make his 1st century of the semi. He did it after starting on a double and it was vintage Ronnie snooker.

He had the white walking round the table so he didn't have to smile.gif

The remarkable thing was he did it just after his tip came off (sounds a bit rude). It took him 15 minutes to fix it and before that he was only playing so-so.

The guy is a genius
Macari.
'kinell we've got a rubbish final on our hands; Ebdon vs. Dott.

Two supposedly 'gritty' players, translation: un-entertaining.

Dott was lucky there, Ronnie was on the warpath after winning three in a row.

Yeah I saw that too Rafa, probably the highest quality frame of snooker i've ever seen. To start with that double to nothing and go on to break 115 in the manner he did and at the speed he did was unbelievable. Right hand, left hand, trick positional shots... it had everything. Incredible on it's own, but the first frame after a tip replacement makes it even more special. I wonder if he got the Paul Hunter (blow-job) treatment in that 15 minute interval?!

Graham Dott's won it, his first title he has won, is the World Championship!

Congratulations to the lad. Wasnt convinced he was gonna win it like, after Ebdons form over the course of today, but Dott stuck at it, and got the win.
You could clearly see what it meant to him and his family, and its good to see that.

A good end to another thoroughly entertaining 2 weeks of World Championship Snooker.
