QUOTE
Striker John Hartson has signed a two-year contract at West Bromwich Albion for an undisclosed fee.

The 31-year-old had a year to run on his contract at Celtic, but was keen to return to English football.

Hartson told the Stellar Group website: "I had five fantastic years in Scotland and been lucky enough to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

"The feeling of scoring a goal at Celtic Park is something that will live with me always."

The Welsh international added: "The time is now right for me to make a change and to return to English football.

"I spoke to Bryan Robson and was impressed with his plans for next season. Obviously he wants Premiership football back at the Hawthorns as soon as possible and that leaves me with another big challenge on my hands.

"I feel fit and healthy and cannot wait for the new season to start now. I am looking forward to a new adventure."

I think most people knew Hartson would be leaving, its just a shame Lennon isn't going as well.

I think it makes Celtic a 1 trick pony now up front...

Any kind of big centre halves can just bully them now with Riordan, Miller and Zurawski

wasnt happy when he left a few weeks ago as I felt we'd miss his physical presence up front. cant see why we wanted rid of BBJ and then pursued Hasselbaink as a replacement, as IMO its like for like. WBA have got themselves a bargain as I reckon he could still have cut it in Europe for us this year, nevermind the Championship.

cheers for the memories big man cheers1.gif
