well the socks are smart!!. does it still have the saltire on the shoulder cause it looked very like a red cross there which would be wrong on soo many levels

Which klleads me to think its not a saltire...hmm.
Its growing on me a wee bit, i think its the Shorts the ruin it for me. With the shorts, there jsut too much red.
Since the Orange has been banned, we've moved onto England themes for the last two away shirts, except last seasons did look smart.

Not liking that at all. Bring back the Orange and blue striped one of the early 90's. That was my first ever top, with '11' 'Huistra' on the back. Legendary kit for a legendary player.
Allan.
Jun 28 2006, 05:47 PM
Was it not Orange and Purple, or was that a couple of seasons before, my brother in law was talking about it and says it was the best Rangers kit, along with the one for last season, he was ever seen.

A very very dark blue, similar to voilet. 'Twas a belter.
Allan.
Jun 28 2006, 06:09 PM
Yeah was most likely that one he was on about then.
Any pics?
I've got a picture of Bradford City in my mind.

Please to God let it be the camera.

Allan.
Jun 28 2006, 06:55 PM
Ahh good call, am on the shit computer, and i remember when this forum first got this skin i also had trouble seeing the new topics and old topics like, like seeing if there was a new post. But as soon as the Laptop got sen tback it was sound, so i'll wait on that to see it.
I think it looks ok will look better once you see more shots of it . I wonder if it has the rfc crest on the back or if the carling is made within the material . It is not a red and white saltire it is just a design everton have it aswell

Yeah, its like a funny diamond thing where the Saltire is on the home kit....
I'd need to see it in the shops before passing judgement, but hopefully it will eradicate the need for a 3rd kit....or shall we call it an "international" kit...
Rangers had an away kit like this in the 80s though, I remember my dad having it in a cupboard somewhere, and its very Monaco-esque
I dont understand why are teams classing some of their kits "international"
Allan.
Jun 29 2006, 08:48 AM
Because usually the away kit cancels out the need for a 3rd kit, like the home and away kit will be the only ones used in the league, and the 3rd kit is for european duty, or cup.
Thats my take on it anyway.
Ahhhhhhhhhh... makes sense cheers bit disaaponted the away doesnt have the rfc crest on the back never the less i like it ! What to get home or away *Thinks about *.........*Still thinking*

RANGERS are hoping to be red-hot when the new campaign under Paul Le Guen kicks off at the end of July.
And Umbro has certainly come up with the perfect away kit to aid the cause after designing Rangers a fantastic new red and white strip.
The red and white jersey, red shorts and white socks give the new Rangers Away kit a classic look. A modern touch has been added to the jersey with precision laser-cutting technology being used on the right shoulder detail,
and body mapping technology used to provide the perfect fit.The new gear is reminiscent of the Monaco outfit, which will certainly please Dado Prso and Julien Rodriguez who starred for the French side who made it all the way to the Champions League Final in 2004.
Chris Burke and Kris Boyd have already given it their seal of approval and fans will be able to get their first look at the red and white get-up when Rangers travel to take on Linfield in Belfast on July 6.
The fantastic new away kit is not available to buy until July 20.

That explains the tight sleeves

My god that top is hilariously awful! I'm embarassed just looking at it
Allan.
Jun 29 2006, 02:57 PM

CaptainCarrots
Jun 29 2006, 05:01 PM
At the end of the day...
We'd still wear it...
We never had this much kit design hassle when it was tangerine
Thats probally because people are more fussy now a days , i think it looks good althougha closer inspection instore will help me make my final decision so far so good . Do you think they will release a 3rd or a so called "international" kit
CaptainCarrots
Jun 29 2006, 06:20 PM
Having a red and white away kit should eradicate the need for a 3rd kit.....
Time will tell with Rangers though, im sure they'll find a need for us to have a 3rd kit...
I wonder what colour the numbers are for the red and white kit...blue?
They will probally be black just like Monaco
CaptainCarrots
Jun 30 2006, 08:17 AM
Whatever colour they are...im sure Rangers will be red hot next season in that top *bows...........then calls a taxi*

My mate in the shop is reporting it...
It's not visible from far away, but close up you can see it
Cheers CC
Has there been alot of cases of this , also do you think it could possibly take of the No or Letter
CaptainCarrots
Jul 5 2006, 05:22 AM
I don't know to be honest...
If it's bubbling though, it means it's slightly raised and a shite soap or detergent could peel it off...
If you're gonna get it printed, I would wash it inside out and in a low degree wash
Got it today and left it unprinted ....god when i went in the store at ibrox they had loads .....and i seriously mean loads of home tops up , very pleased ...thats me finally got the home top , didnt really notice much tightness although i did get another size not my usual . Also they had alot of tops without the carling on for the muslim rangers fans or fans who do not want to advertise alchol on there top .
Think the top has anew bright feeling , its more spacious but in a good way , cant wait till the away comes out , thinking of just buying the home shorts as they will go with both home and away top .
Believe it or not there is actual fitting room and not the fitting room where they held all there stock which was quite chostraphobic to go in , it has disabled facilities inside the new fitting room

Jul 5 2006, 03:21 PM

CaptainCarrots
Jul 6 2006, 04:10 AM
Yeah, training gear is pretty smart compared to previous years

I don't know, and I don't think he does either.....
"Excuse me, how many times did you wash this top"
Not a normal question is it, just buy the kit, if you have problems with it Rangers have always been accomodating
