my mom made a bet with me that if my club team won regionals she would buy me a new pair of cleats. I already have the absolutes and the legends. I'm thinking about tunits or those puma v1.06. Which should i get?

Hmm...I personally wouldn't recommend the tunits, there are a lot of problems with them. I haven't tried the v1.06 but I've only heard good things about them.

Too risky?
Any reason why?
They're the most comfortable boots out there!

They're ugly as hell.. I don't know why anyone would want to buy Nomis or Kelme.. I've tried on both and they aren't very comfortable... They feel too soft...

Nomis are some of the best boots out there. And how can boots be too soft.

if youve already got some decent boots. make your mom pay like 400 dollars for thoes hummel professionals.
youd be so badass. you could say "my cleats cost 400 dollars".

EDIT - Oh, kac beat me to it
ronaldo is the best
Jun 28 2006, 09:46 PM
but you should try to get the red or black ones, white ones are really cool but they get grass stains and it`s not easy to clean them. i`d say go for some vapors but it all depends on what position you play in and where you play in.
just remember its the player who makes the boot not the boot who makes the player.
good luck

i would probably say i'm leaning towards the puma V1 K if they have it at my local soccer store but if they don't i'm probably going to get the tunits
AC_Milan>*
Jun 29 2006, 02:03 PM
Make sure you try the tunits on first, some people say they have a horrible fit so you may want to try them on.
scooter09012
Jun 29 2006, 08:23 PM
i tried on the tunits and the puma v1.06 but they didn't have the puma V 1K. The person helping me said that a lot of people have had problems with their tunits with the cleats breaking and things of that sort and my mom (who's buying the cleats) overheard and won't let me get them. Do the Puma V 1K's fit just like the V1.06's even though they are kangeroo?

^^The K version is just a tiny bit bigger. Bigger as in 1/4 size bigger. Prolly the same width, maybe just a barely notceable difference, not sure on that though. But i highly recommend them, they're excellent boots.

Go Nomis. I swear you will not be disappointed. I have the Nomis Sparks and was also skeptical because of the price. They are the most comfortable boot I have ever worn and the couple of people who have had problems with their boots have had them quickly resolved by Nomis. Also, I don't think they look ugly. I couldn't decide between the red and the blue but in the end i chose the blue. Here's mine (just ignore all the grass, i hadn't cleaned them:
