this is a simple topic...do you think lavolpe should stay or not?

Ese Vato
Hell no! ranting.gif

Never!!! ranting.gif
el chingon
no!!!
futbolnosune
why not may i ask??
i think he did an excellent job against argentina and showed what lethal attacking force our entire team. although! nobody can hate on him since we didnt expect guardado and pardo to go down so early with injuries.

i personally would like him to stay since he can keep the same team in tact ,or form other players into the formation.

or would we rather start from scratch? i mean his system allowed players such as osorio and salcido to get interest from european clubs.
Miguelinho
I think its stupid to start over with a new system, LaVolpe is the reason we did so good in Confederations a year ago & we played good in the Argentina game. It doesn't matter what coach we get, even if its someone you have been wanting, you will still end up hating him.
Mr.Beek
I think Mexico should get rid of him.

He is not a real mexican anyways, he's argentinian i think.
bob
There is no guarantee that Hugo would do better. In fact, what if he stunk the team up?
Miguelinho
That's what Im saying, If we lose LaVolpe I'd want Hugo but I know the same ppl for him will be criticizing him later so don't act like he will save mexico (I hope he does though!!).
americafan
We need to have someone else coaching the seleccion. Obviously you all know that I'm a huge Hugo supporter so I will try to be as objective as possible with my points of discussion.

What good will it do the seleccion if Lavolpe stays & robs huge amounts of money?

Lavolpe really hasn't done anything in his whole career, don't you guys see that.

So freakin' what if the team did a good "defensive job" against Argentina because I don't recall seeing them have many clear chances to score (If you guys think Mexico attacked please tell when these were because I don't remember more that 3 opportunities).

Did you guys forget the previous 3 games in the first round? I can't believe that one game is enough to keep Lavolpe.

So what if Mexico played "nice" in Confederations Cup; did we even win anything? No!

That's the problem with Lavolpe, he's never really won anything!

He's been a coach for 24 years & he only has 2 championships to show for it! F@ck man, "Only in Mexico!"

Bottom line is that Hugo Sanchez is a winner through & through! He's done what many would have said is impossible (5 pichichis, Bi-campeonato) but he did it. That's what we need, someone who is a winner & that never says I can't do it or as Lavolpe likes to say "Es que no hay talento" or "Es que la aficon Mexicana no sabe nada de futbol".

Enough is enough, Hugo may talk alot but he backs it up, plus he only talks about the way things are being done the wrong way by the team owners & FMF because he knows the system has to be changed & transformed into a more European style of training, fuerzas basicas, etc.. But he never talks about the players, he has always defended them until the end.

We need someone who doesn't need dragon ties for "good luck", who's always smoking because he can't think straight, this guys is a nervous wreck! Did you guys see how he screamed at Pineda the whole second half against Argentina, it's like he wanted to kill him.
Gallo Caliente
For me, if lavolpe leaves ill like Trejo to take charge of El Tri. idk, something tells me that he'll do a better job than anyone else.
futbolnosune
i think hugo is more of a head case
hell i would be screaming at pineda the way he was playing
bring me herrera style system with more speed and attacking formation.
but lavolpe has won a mundial and hugo always undershined in the tourney

hugo has bashed players in mexico and the system, who do we want someone who takes over the team or someone who has another purpose to be a media whore?

Lavolpe won a Mundial, haaaaa, as a 3rd string goalkeeper? He didn't even play.

The only players he has ever criticized is Franco & Sinha for being in the seleccion but he never in any way offend them personally. He was just mentioning that the seleccion doesn't need nationalized players.

Other than that I don't recall him talking crap about players, he defends mexican players to the end!
futbolnosune
so u are saying that wining a world cup and being part of team does not count? even if he did not play he was part of the squad.

Being part of the team is important but it cannot be used to say that he has done anything important.

That's like saying Messi sucks because Argentina didn't qualify or Ronaldinho sucks because his team didn't make it to semis. You can't use an argument like that to favor one's curriculum.
TheRaze
I dont really want Hugo. Yes, he was excellant as a player, did what no one thought possible for Mexicans in football, but as a coach it isnt the same thing. Yes, he did excellant at first with Pumas but then he got dismissed, thats pretty bad. I would want to see more coaching from him before Id want him.

I want Javier Aguirre biggrin.gif.....Again...second times a charm aint it?
Terrible
I think it would be great for Hugo to be the national coach it's time to start thinking like a winner, not just being content with participating.I believe Hugo Sanchez can bring that winning mentality to the national squad.

Yeah, I think that people have to get over taking cr@p personally. I've heard arguments before (not in this particular thread) like, "Hugo's personality sucks" or "he's too cocky!"

WHO F@CKIN" CARES! Bottom line......Hugo's a winner, and best of all he's going to give it 100% because he knows that his stay at the seleccion will be his resume for European teams, which he has been dying to coach so that Real Madrid can look over and see his work.
¤•«BARCHESTER™»•¤
true...the best would be hugo and the U-17 coach together...there are some rumors that this is possible
Miguelinho
but it depends on their chemistry together...like u cant assume that if u have two world-class forwards they will create a great attack..it depends on thier chemistry and how they interact...look at Real Madrid...u would think if they have the best players they should be completely dominating but they dont...
