They said its a done deal pending Osorio's Contract stipulations but I think they said the same about Borgetti with a german team last year.

On thier wikipedia page they already have Osorio on the roster as a transfer. Although anyone can edit these and I could've put Maradona on the roster.

This would be badass for him to play there I hope its true. Has any other Mexican played in the Bundesliga? I can't think of any.

Mr.Beek
In the 'Cancha' it says that Osorio can go to either Arsenal or Werder bremen or teams in France and Spain:S

This is great news, with Salcido practically in Europe and Rafa who's already in the best team in the planet we should have 2 more World Class defenders. With Oswaldo going to Europe as well, we will have a super strong back line; I think we still need to shoot for a couple more midfielders in Europe, the strikers are currently developing in Celta de Vigo & Barcelona if you know what I mean!
el chingon
si salcido tambien se va a europa vamos a tener una muy buena defense pal proximo mundial
Miguelinho
Ok Pardo goes too, its on their site now
VFB Stuttgart
Terrible
That is great with more Mexican players playing in Europe the better the national team will be. One player I hoped would have gone to Europe is Gonzalo Pineda he is an excellent player and he showed it in the Confederations Cup, just seemed like he was off a step in the World Cup

That player i really want to go to a good team is Guardado. Just love his way of playing and those long shots from outside the box.

I'm so excited for Pardo, Osorio, and Sanchez. They will learn so much playing in Europe, but I wonder how they'll communicate?

Thats a good question. The difference in language and lifestyle is whats kept Jared Borgetti down since he went to Bolton, when hes on tv hes always bitching that he misses Mexico and apparently there are some communication issues with his coach and teammates. This is why its easier for a Mexican player to play in Spain because the language is not a problem there. I would think that the neutral language between the people at Stuttgart and Pavel, Osorio and Salcido will be English and if they spend a few years in Germany they'll start talking that language too.
TheRaze
Im sure they wont have a problem. Rafa Marquez didnt when he played in France, or did he?
futbolnosune
i dont think he had a problem with language, he just kicked some ass and that was that.

borgetti has not done that
Futbolero
I hope Borgetti comes back next season and kicks some ass with Bolton. I really want him to do well just to show everyone what he can do.
TheRaze
I heard some rumours that Benfica wanted Borgetti while ago, can anyone confirm anything?
Joel.
Benfica were chasing Borgetti before he joined Bolton I think their interest has died down now but it would be better if he returned to Mexico as he's got no chance of holding own a place in Bolton's side next season.

No goals in Schaafhausen

With six World cup participants missing and five injuries in the squad, VfB took on another friendly on Friday. Against the hosts from Switzerland, FC Schaafhausen, VfB played out a goalless draw as their two new Mexican signings made their debuts.
Injury worries

Timo Hildebrand, Thomas Hitzlsperger, Fernando Meira, Ludovic Magnin, Marco Streller and Danijel Ljuboja as well as Dirk Heinen (Achilles tendon tear), Silvio Meißner (stress fracture of the pubic bone), Daniel Bierofka (knee sprain), Antonio da Silva (heal injury) and Alexander Farnerud (instep injury) all missed the tie but Ricardo Osorio and Pavel Pardo both got the chance to pull on the VfB shirt for the first time.

There was little to speak about during the first half other than an illegal goal scored by a Swiss had which the referee cancelled out. The best VfB chance fell to Tomasson but he was denied by Herzog in the Swiss goal. The numerable changes on both sides played its part in seeing the game slump to a less than attractive 0:0 draw.

The VfB team:

Langer – Beck (46. Ikeng), Zivkovic (46. Tasci), Delpierre, Gerber (66. Schaschko)– Hilbert, Osorio (66. Schuon), Pardo (66. Feisthammel), Gentner – Tomasson © (66. Nehrig), Gomez (46. Cacau)

Intersting Note: On the VFB Stuttgart website they have made a spanish version due to Osorio & Pardo. I guess alot of mexicans & spanish speakers have been visiting their site.

They had another friendly but Pardo didnt play, Osorio started and was subbed at halftime.
Ese Vato
That's cool, good for Osorio and Pardo.

Pardo/Osorio interview

Ricardo, you look tired. A result of the training or sometheing else.
Ricardo Osorio: \"I am tired right now. A result of the training sessions and friendly. After a game I can\'t always sleep well but I\'ll catch up on the lost hours.\"
You\'ve been at the trainings camp since last Thursday, is that something new for you or is that typical in Mexico?
Pardo: \"We have that in Mexico too but we never travel abroad - just to the beach or on the coast. At home in the high altitude we have the best opportunities to train.\"
Ricardo Osorio: \"Exactly. In Mexico it\'s easier to find a place to train. In a couple of hours we are at the best places.\"

What about the intensity of the training here?
Pardo: \"We also combined physical and technical training so we know the programme. There\'s not much difference.\"
Ricardo Osorio: \"Pavel is right. Three sessions a day is normal in Mexico so the programme here is no surprise.\"

How are you getting on in Stuttgart? You are also the first Mexicans in the Bundesliga.
Pardo: \"We are happy to be here and hoping to meet the expectations of the VfB fans.

When will your families come here?
Pardo: \"In the next weeks which I am very happy about. Until now we\'ve just had telephone contact.\"

Which would mean a high telephone bill
Ricardo Osorio: \"I only buy five euro telephone cards, then I know exactly how long I can call for.\"

Have you suffered from homesickness at all?
Pardo: \"Homesickness, no - why?\"
Ricardo Osorio: \"No, we\'re really enjoying it here.

You\'ve both learnt to speak a lot of German in a short time?
Pardo: \"Oh, German!! That\'s difficult. We are learning every day. There are no problems on the pitch and for the other things we have a German teacher. We are learning the everyday things at the moment like ordering food or drinks. It\'s not bad for the short time.\"

Why are you always in such good humour, laughing, smiling?
Pardo: \"Mexicans are always in good form. We have a lot of fun together.\"

Is fun a part of the game?
Ricardo Osorio: \"Just before the game starts. There are no friends on the pitch. Then we have a responsibility to the club and our colleagues.\"

You have a good understanding, have you been friends for long?
Ricardo Osorio: \"We know each other from the national team and value one another since then. We did play for rival clubs in Mexico though. VfB is like the national team where we work together.\

Oso's dream goal

VfB new man Ricardo Osorio was the hero of the afternoons training with a goal that a dream goal just before the end to win the game. The trainings game was poised at 4:4 before the Mexican hammered a shot into the top right corner. Markus Babbel carried his new colleague shoulder high from the pitch despite the relative unimportance of the game. Heiko Gerber was still out of action in the afternoon, confined to bed with a fever whilst Marco Streller and Silvio Meißner took to the woods for a jog.
