FORMER Celtic and Scotland captain Paul Lambert has been named manager of League Two side Wycombe.

The 36-year-old, who was manager of Livingston last season until quitting in February, replaces John Gorman, who left Adams Park at the end of last term.

Lambert, who is on a family holiday, has signed a one-year rolling contract and will work alongside

Gorman's number two, Steve Brown, who is staying on.

Good to see Lambo bouncing back from his terrible reign as Livi manager
Allan.
I'm happy for him, but its strange, if he can't succeed at Livvi how can he at Wycombe.

Is it Wycombe that always make peculiar decisions when appointing a new manager, wasn't it them that Colin Hendry managed? or Tony Adams, not sure though.

Was Tony "the drunkard" Adams that had a fairly unsuccessful spell as manager at Wycombe

I already know a couple of people who have stick £5 on Wycombe getting relegated next season. Think the odds were 28/1.

Colin Hendry was in charge at Blackpool.

Only Swindon have bigger odds of being relegated - http://www.coral.co.uk/sb.go?page=grouppag...id=20&ms=MS

Have to sau though that most people saw Livi as a sinking ship even before Lambert was appointed there.
