Messi angry about not being able to help squad
Argentina soccer player Lionel Messi told Sunday's Argentine newspaper La Nacion that he felt "destroyed" and "angry" because he had not been able to help the national soccer squad, which has been eliminated by Germany from the World Cup.
"I am young and I have a lot up front. All I want to do is play," Messi told the newspaper. "Argentina had an amazing team and some incredible players... only penalties could eliminate us from the Cup," he added.
He told the newspaper that people have said that he did not feel the team's eliminations because it seemed he did not feel anything.
Messi was the only one of the Argentines on the substitute's bench who took the news calmly. All the other players immediately began yelling at the playing team. The press was quick to describe Messi as a rock.
"My teammates known how I feel," Messi told the newspaper. "People who do not live locker-room intimacy I have with my colleagues do not understand how I fell. Those who are with me in the locker-room know that I could not hold back when the team united around (coach) Jose Pekerman."
Messi described the exit from the Cup as "a tough exit for all the boys... I remain sad because I saw the way that Argentina played and the didn't deserve to end up this way."

Messi had every right IMO to be angry I think that if messi had been bought on and that if he played his game properly that the Argentines would've beaten germany in normal time and that Argentina would've gone through sadly enough they didnt

Yep , that injury of Abondanzieri screwed the possibility of Messi coming him , that's a pity cause he would have been a nighmare for the Germans , next to Tevez .

not abondanzieri, but cruz
why the hell they put cruz there? we dont need header to score. and messi can play in midfield too, altough cambiasso is more pure midfielder realisticly to you think he has better impact then messi? i'm not a coach but logic can be use here.

he deserved to play but when abondanzierri don't know how to spell go injured argentina was going to lose unless mesii came on i mean the other keeper sucks and then argentina coach made some other stupid subs but even the ref was so on germanys side like for the foul in penalty box the argentina guy got yellow card for no reason even lehmann tot i was penalty.

ballack also dived, having a bit body contact but hold his face like he was being punched.
i'm quite surprise abondanzieri turns out to be great on this world cup, conceiding just 2 goals and those goals wasnt come from his mistakes.
but i would prefer messi over cambiasso... me or i think anybody... also there's still aimar on the bench and he can run over defenders too.

Are you serious? Franco is a great keepr albeit a tad inconsistant. You can't really judge him based on a single performance in which he came in as a sub. I mean Klose's goal was just amazing, all the penalty kicks were very well taken, and Franco was just thrown into that precarious position. Not his fault at all.
What about the other young one, Ustari? The media reported that he was an excellent penalty saver in training, but Pekerman doesn't have the guts to try him on?

aimar, messi, saviola, riquelme ,crespo = bench player
that's enough to proof pekerman didnt have any little guts.
franco is good at his club, you cant blame him for not saving penalty ....even walter zenga who conceided just one goal on the run failed to stop 4 argentines penalty in 1990.
and for klose goal , klose was in a posistion where any player would have score from that position. somebody headed ballack's freekick and it landed in front of him.
