New season, and I need a new pair of FG boots. Any suggestions. I play left wing (that seems to matter to some people) I was thinking either Vapor III, or Beckham Pulses The cardinal Red!

What ever feels nice, but I would suggest trying on some vapor k's if you could find some. They are very nice boots.

You gotta go with leather. The red beckhams are synthetic and not as comfortable which would not stretch out through out time, but I would recommend the Adidas Absolute because Vapors are built for speed which are made synthetic which are lighter and would be great for a forward or any midfielder.

Get whatever fits you best and feels the most comfortable. If you have narrow feet check out the Vapours and Puma V1s, if you have fairly normal shaped feet try Legends or Copas and if you have wide feet check out Predators and Puma Execs.

V1s arent for narrow feet^^, they have a wide fit.

With football getting faster and more physical nowadays, you probably need to think about one thing more than another : Protection.

There might be a few grams more with boots like Predators than Vapor III, but the difference it made to your speed is very very little (0.01 seconds at best). However, the moment of physical contact when other players challange you for the ball, the impact on your foot, that really comes down to what you are wearing that gives you that extra protection.

Do you remember the foot injury Rooney got just before World Cup -the match between MU & Chelsea? The video footage shows Rooney's boot (Vapor) bending inward easily while falling down hitting defender's shin. The soft and bendability might help in speed but might offer little in protection especially when it come into contact.


My 2 cents.

1st of all Rooney does not wear vapors but air zoom total 90 supremacys
2nd i doubt that a boot gives you more protection if it is heavy (like the abs) or light (the vaps)
3rd there is no 3rd

V1 not THAT wide.. the material is just more tolerant and stretchy, but the top of the boot is quite narrow like a women's shoe, so try it on beforehand.

2ndly, if someone step on your feet with their football boots studs, a bit more protection actually makes the difference. Adidas Predator are slightly heavier and compare to Vapor . harder (not as easily bended) , this is because Adidas is putting a lot other linings on the Predator surface which add to the weight however minimally . But if you look at AZT or Vapor, it is very smooth and there's nothing on the surface. Of cause , when someone step on your feet or the impact occurs you might argue that it doesn't matter, but then again, wouldn't you want a bit of protection at least?
