MEXICO CITY — Ricardo Lavolpe is not likely to continue as Mexico coach when his contract expires after the World Cup.
Mexican club owners will meet soon to decide Lavolpe's future, but the coach is expected to be shown the door, Mexican Football Federation president Alberto de la Torre said. He said the Mexican manager has offers from Argentine and European clubs.
"I think he will not (continue)," de la Torre told Mexican channel Televisa. "He wants to coach in Europe. He was telling me he has an offer from Spain, and also has offers from Argentina, so he's already tuned to another channel."
The Argentina-born Lavolpe guided Mexico to the World Cup second round, where his team was eliminated by Argentina 2-1 in extra time. He had said his goal was to take Mexico beyond the round of 16 for the third time in the country's history.
"He was in a process and he was always supported while he was in the process, and now it's time to look (for a replacement). Someone else has to take care of the process for 2010," de la Torre said.

If u are asking me, i like Trejo as the new Coach. But know that im think about it more, i think Jesus Ramirez will be cool too. Since by 2010 we will have our young players in EL TRI. Then Jesus won;t be a bad choice, IMO.

From what i have been reading, It could be Hugo Sanchez and Jesus Ramirez. Aguirre will be cool to have him again, but i think we should try out hugo and Ramirez first before we give Aguirre another chance.

As long as they do good in 2010 world cup, this is going to be biggest one for us so far

. We get the U17 players. Mexico is going to be great. Jesus Ramirez would be great since he knows the U17 squad already and won the WC with them after all. I say he should do it.
