I'd say turf (/astro) cleats in general are the most underrated for sure! Personally I think they're quite the best!

(p.s. how is kelme even still in business?? all their boots are straight up copies or hybrids of adidas and nike boots....you would think there were patents on these designs that adidas and nike could sue them for....oh well lol)

(p.p.s. It makes me feel so fulfilled that there are many others in this world that hate kelmes haha)

under: Tunits----everyone rails on and on how these suck and break and cause cancer, but no one seems so admit that its a innovative idea and a spectacular way to save money. I paid $100 and have three pairs of boots!!! Oh yeah, they look great and offer amazing touch for a synthetic boot.

Over: none really jump out as terrible, I've only worn adidas for years and hadn't gotten a bad pair

It's not an innovative idea...Adidas has just found a way to market them.

You could go out and buy a pair of World Cups and buy shorter studs for HG, slightly longer studs for FG and the full 16mm and 18mm for SG...World Cup Tunit's.
Timho
^yes, and they dont break after a couple times of use!

I disagree, the studs are only part of it. Just look around at people on this board---how many make their purchases solely on looks?! Now you can change out the appearance as well. Having shorter studs for World Cups is all fine and good, but its still only 6 studs and a mixed-sole copa is nothing special because you still have shorter studs. Yes its about marketing, but what isn't?!
ejteK
Yes I see you're point. If people judge their purchase on looks, then the World Cups get raped hard lol. If it was judged on comfort it would be the World Cups, but no one person has the same feet as another, this can only be a personal thing...as are the looks, I still think Absolutes are ugly as sin and I think Tunits are in the same catergory, but then again someone else could easily come in and say World Cups are ugly. At the end of the day, it's all personal preferance.

personally, i feel my blue tunits are a little flashy for me! I like the copa/wc style better, but the 3 in 1 system appealled to me. I'd like the abs more if those little strips on the toebox were either the same color (as on the champions league) or not there at all. My pulse blackouts sg were more my style than anything else...
ejteK
Pulse Blackout in SG is the sexiest boot. I've been dying to find them forever in my size!
S11
Copas = Underrated

Thats the only one i can really post about seeing I only have 2 pairs.

I really wouldnt mind trying some Pumas or Nomis though, I have only heard good things about them.
Timho
i just ordered a pair of puma v1´s tricks because of the good feedback here! hope i dont get disappointet!
tarsey1989
i am maybe getting nomis. Fair enough one of the cheapest versions but they are still really good, and for £37.49 cant really go wrong.

Great choice, I got my V1's today and they fit a treat. Better value than the new Vapor III's by far. And if you have small but wide feet like me then the V1's are a much better option than the new Vapor III. Plus you wont see many Puma boots about as everyone is into Nike or Adidas. Post some pictures of them when you get them.

The most overrated boots have to be F50+'s. I have had two pairs, the first pair ripped within seven days of playing in them so I took them back and got a replacement. My second gripe is that they are deceptively narrow. I tried them on in the shop and they felt a bit tight, however, all my other boots have widened out because of my feet. These do not seem to budge after the best part of a season's wear. Therefore each time I play in them the sides of my feet are killing. A fairly unforgiving boot in terms of adapting to your foot shape.

From what I have tried on and from the opinions of various other people I play football with each week the Tunits are not much better. From my own experience of trying them on in the shop I do not like that raise in the heel, a faily uncomfortable feature. And the toe is too squarish at the front.

From my own experience with Adidas in the past with their build quality I would not jump at the chance to purchase any more pairs of Adidas boots. I might have been very unlucky and bought poor boots each time, but they all just seem to resist fitting to my feet; no matter how much I wear them.

I like my pair of Vapors, they are lightweight, comfortable and I have them in black so you cant say I bought them for the pretty colours. They have lasted a long time as well, so in my opinion Nike would be the better option.

I am not able to say that the V1's are excellent as I have not worn them fully for an extensive period of time. From first impressions they seem a quality boot, excellent fit from the start and they look respectable as well.
aclane10
overrated - pulses, absolutes
underrated - pumas, lotto stadios
jdcelconejo
over- diadora

under- lotto, puma (they is awesome)
Sky
I think the V1 were slightly overrated when they came out, build quality and durability is not that great, thats why you pay more for boots made in Italy..
denniis
underated- diadoras .i got a pair and theyre wayyyy better than the adidas boots ive got.. ive got pulses, aveiros and f50s.. diadoras totti 10 pro rtx 12 kill them by far. but ive got coppas and theyre top boots
b3ans
Oh and for that world cup idea about the shorter studs, it wouldnt be very effective, because in the end your body weight is being distributed on the ends of 6 studs for each foot. And if the ground has no give, pain will most probably occur.

And for my list,

Overrated :- Anything with bend pads, added weight, super thinness and anyother marketing gimmick.

Underrated :- Anything that has been tested by time, These seem to be forgotten because of boots that make you faster, shoot harder and bend better.
