The word 'tim' comes from the Catholic Glasgow street gang the 'timmaloys' who fought regularly with the Protestant Street gang the 'Billy Boys'.

Both have nothing to do with football or Celtic and Rangers but due to their religous connotations they have been used to stereotype celtic fans as 'Tims' and Rangers fans as 'Billy Boys'

yep, as in "come on the timmaloys", my ritualistic shout when the Celtic players go into the huddle
