I can't believe I didn't make a thread for this! Falling asleep at the wheel wink.gif

So this section is to put transfers of Brasilians in/out of the world outside Brasil.

We can put transfers too between Brasilian clubs, but that's a constant massive thing that never seems to end wink.gif

This is intended for the current "Euro" time frame transfer season thing.

So post away whatever info you find.

Jardel revisiting Portugal

http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=40...r+target+Jardel

Brazilian striker Mario Jardel is close to sealing a summer switch to Portuguese side Beira Mar.

Jardel's star has dimmed in recent seasons, having proved his prowess in front of goal during spells with Porto, Galatasaray and Sporting Lisbon.

Bolton boss Sam Allardyce brought the forward to The Premiership in 2003, but his stint was dogged by controversy as he was castigated for his weight.

He moved on to Italian side Ancona, but failed to convince the coaching staff that he was over his troubles and has recently been on the books of Brazilian side Goias.

Jardel, though, is keen on another crack at European football and Beira Mar are ready to take a gamble on the marksman.

A one-year deal is reportedly on the table and is awaiting Jardel's signature.

The Portuguese outfit are aware of Jardel's recent travails and have inserted a number of performance-based clauses in the contract and are awaiting the 32-year-old's response.

Seriously, Beira Mar?!?!? Why are you wasting ANY money on Jardel?!?! He's DONE!

Off the top of my head I can think of,

Fabio Aurelio moving from Valencia to Liverpool.

and

Left winger Nene looks to complete a move to Deportivo la Coruna in the next few days.

St Etienne are closing on the capture of Sochaux striker Ilan, according to reports.

The Brazilian is keen to leave the Stade Bonal in search of a new challenge and Bordeaux were early favourites for his signature.

However, Les Verts appear to have stolen a march on their rivals to agree a deal with Sochaux for Ilan's services.

The 25-year-old is reportedly close to sealing a four-year deal at the Stade Geoffrey-Guichard and will be unveiled as a St Etienne player in the next few days.

Another player attracting the interest of coach Ivan Hasek is Le Mans midfielder Yohann Hautcoeur, although they may be unable to agree a transfer fee for the 25-year-old.

Hautcoeur is under contract at Le Mans until 2007 and a fee over €3 million (£2 million) may frighten off the interest from St Etienne.

Trialists Renaud Cohade and Kanfory Sylla will not be offered contracts by coach Hasek after failing to impress during their time training with the club.

-----------------------------------

Ilan never "overly" impressed me since his Atl-PR days. He was "alright" due to his decent size and all, but nothing special.

Parreira gave him a chance early in his comeback to the Selecao reign in Confed Cup 2003.

2 words: Utter Disaster.

He's done well though in France. He was scoring fairly regularly at Sochaux so he's worth something for sure. Just not a call up again.

I really liked that Nene character a while back at Santos. He fit quite nicely with that team (Santos) as a super sub almost, but he picked all those relegation material clubs once he moved to Europe. Kind of stunted his growth in a way.

Not saying he's Selecao material either here, but he did have some moments of magic every now and then.

La Coruna could potentially be a nice fit for him and hopefully bring SOME stability in his glove trotting ways. wink.gif

Oooooooooooooooooooooooohhhh, looks like Maicon has moved to Inter!

Hmmmm, some pretty decent competition in his spot though.

Anyway, we'll see if he can handle the Italian league.

If yes, CALL HIM UP PRONTO again!! Keep Cicinho on his toes!

Nothing like some healthy competition wink.gif

Just to confirm Maicon's move...

http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=40...unveil+new+trio

Internazionale have unveiled their three new signings for the coming season, Frenchman Olivier Dacourt and Brazilians Maicon and Maxwell.

Right back Maicon (pictured), 24, has signed a five-year-deal at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza after impressing for the last two seasons at Monaco.

While left-sided countryman Maxwell has committed himself to the club for four years, after spending time on loan at Empoli last season.

The 24-year-old sealed a move from Ajax to Inter at the start of the year, but was immediately loaned out to the Stadio Carlo Castellani as he recovered from a serious knee injury.

Former Leeds United and Everton midfielder Dacourt, 31, meanwhile, has signed a two-year deal with the Serie A outfit.

The trio are set to meet their new team-mates at pre-season training on Thursday and there are high hopes that they can help to bring the Serie A title back to Nerazzurri in the coming season

------------------------------------------------------------------

Hmmmm, Maxwell also moved to Inter. Now there's a surprise.

Maxwell was a highly regarded prospect at one point, but I thought he kind of sucked at Ajax. Add that he was a constant hospital tourist... not good.

Oh well, he's not the one I'm really interested in anyway. I can't wait to see what Maicon can do at Inter. I have alot of hopes for him. He was on and off for Monaco, but he is still young and has serious upside potential.
Adriano7
Yeah Maicon (and Maxwell) have been agreed from last year to play for next season. Now Inter have the best wing backs... right Javier Zanetti - Maicon and left Grosso-Maxwell !

Monkeys do you know where did Giovanni (silva de Oliveira ) moved , the ex santos???
I thought he joined a brasileirao team but still cant find anything new of him.
StrokingMonkeys
I wouldn't have my hopes up just yet on Maxwell. He's been a disappointment to me (from what I've seen of him at Ajax... when not injured) for a while now.

About Giovanni... I'm sad to report that he's been playing in a Saudi Arabia team (I think it's either Saudi, UAE or Qatar, but it is in one of those areas).

Living out his retirement.
Adriano7
No monkeys, Giovanni played for 3 months only in Saudi Arabia (Al Hallil) and said he had some offers from Brasilian teams. But at last i didnt learned anything about where he finally is
StrokingMonkeys
Oh he left Saudi land already?!?!

Ok, I'll go doublecheck to see where he's at these days.

Hmmmmmm, looks like I'm in the dark too. Apart from a few articles saying "there's a few Brasilian clubs looking at me" types, I see nothing that points to a specific team signing him.

He may consider retiring too btw, he is around 34 yrs old after all (though today's Brasilian league seems to have no problems accomodating retirees too wink.gif )

With the Italian scandal, is there any word where the star brazilians will be heading (emerson, kaka, dida, cafu, etc)?
StrokingMonkeys
Don't know yet.

We all read that the Juve/Milan boys (Emerson and Kaka) are being hyped up to the Real Madrid bosses by Cappello. But that's pretty much it. sad.gif

From reading around, Juve, Lazio and Fiorentina are being relegated to Serie B.

Most likely Kaka, Cafu and Dida will stay where they are (this is their best chance to win the scudetto after all, with only Inter to really bother them)

Logically, Emerson will probably RUN, not walk, to Madrid if they come knocking at this point.

oops, after reading some more details about Milan's punishment, maybe Kaka and the others will leave after all.

They got some major points deducted for next season! Enough that it may be VERY tough for them to win the league after all.

God forbid Adriano wakes up and scores regularly for the whole season and add Cruz and Martins going at it... not looking good for AC Milan.

Seems I was wrong with this one, Nene has all but completed a move to Depor's fierce rivals Celta Vigo.
StrokingMonkeys
Ooooooooooohhh, Nene at Celta should be interesting.

Yup, he can hook up with Baiano, Roberto, Iriny and Giovanella who sadly is still banned. Oh yea and George Lucas.

Sobis: UAE Move Won't Damage Brazil Career
Al Jazira’s new Brazilian star Rafael Sobis is looking forward to his new career with the UAE league side after recently completing a big-money move from Spanish side Real Betis.

The 23 year-old cost Al Jazira around 10 million euros and has refuted suggestions that the move from La Liga will adversely affect his chances of playing for the Brazilian national team.

"First of all, I'm happy to play for Al Jazira and in UAE as football has developed rapidly in UAE recently," Sobis said.

"It is a positive move for me and I hope it will be successful. Playing for Al Jazira is a new challenge for me and I hope that I can enjoy good performances with them.

"I will try my best to win a lot of titles with Al Jazira whether in the local or continental championships."

Sobis won a bronze medal at the recent Olympics and is confident of still playing for the senior side on a regular basis though a little flattery always helps...

"Coach Dunga is a smart coach and he follows all the Brazilian players wherever they are playing and that's why I'm confident that I will maintain my position in the national team."

Brain fart my dear Sobis, but thank you! A move like this SHOULD take him off the callup list once and for all.

Poor Sobis ... despite of Dunga's promotion to his "regular call ups to A team" ... no big club interested in him!

It also confirmed Dunga's taste in striker ... LOL

That would be tough tracking every Brazilian professional player.
