“I’m 100% sure I’ve made the right choice”

Following his summer transfer from Parma, wizard of the wing Marco Marchionni is convinced he made the right decision: “Why Juve? Because this is a club that belongs at the top. If I wasn’t convinced this was the right place for me, I wouldn’t be here”. The young midfielder has a positive outlook on the season ahead: “Even if we do end up in Serie B with a 30 point penalty, I still believe we can achieve promotion in one season, potentially one of the greatest chapters in this club’s history, and I will do my best to make sure Juve get back on top. We will concentrate hard on winning every game and see what happens. No one is assured of a place in the starting line-up, there are a lot of great players at this club, but I think the presence of a player like Alessandro Del Piero, the symbol of this club, will be a great example to everyone”. And as for the appeal? “I’ve spoken to Didier and some of the other players, and although it’s hard to imagine a club like Juventus in Serie B, we’re all hoping that the situation will improve with the second phase of proceedings” The 25 year-old, who celebrates his birthday in six days time, also revealed he chose Juventus despite offers from a number of other big clubs: “When you get out there on the pitch, you’re concerned with only one thing, the football. I had the option of joining Fiorentina but Juve is Juve: this is the club everyone dreams of playing for. I have no regrets”.
dreamlander
Its a shame he chose Juve. he is at 25 years old, a good winger, on the verge of braking into the National side and he left the Parma side where he was the star, along with Bresciano and Simplicio, to drop down to Serie B for at least 1 and probably 2 seasons. Thats his career done if he doenst leave come christmas.

Cannavaro And Zambrotta Real Bound?

http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=40...in+on+Juve+gems
Italy's World Cup winning captain and Juventus defender Fabio Cannavaro has decided to sign for Real Madrid next season, a Spanish newspaper reported on Sunday.

Cannavaro called former Juventus and current Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello and told him that he will play for the Spanish powerhouse, the sports daily AS reported.

The 32-year-old defender, widely considered one of the top players at the World Cup in Germany, has also been targeted by Chelsea and Italian powerhouse AC Milan, according to media reports.

After the reported call, Capello contacted Real chairman Ramon Calderon to confirm that Cannavaro will be in the Santiago Bernabeu next season, AS said without naming a source.

Madrid's sports director Peja Mijatovic said earlier this week that the club was close to signing Cannavaro.

Juventus, Italy's domestic champion for the past two years, has been relegated to Serie B in the country's match-fixing scandal but can appeal. Several of its players are reportedly seeking to move to other clubs.

Real Madrid has not won a trophy in three years despite a glittering lineup that boasts players like Ronaldo and David Beckham.

I doubt they will stay and I beleive it is logical for them to go. As much as I would like to see these players wear the juve shirt next season, people need to understand them: thet are at the peak of their careers and already in or going towards their 30's, they have no more time to spend 2 at least 2 years in serie B... That being said, I would rather see Zambrotta and Buffon at Barcelona than Milan, or any other Italian team for that matter - I really don't want our rivals getting stronger with our best players sad.gif

Looks like they are off to Barcelona. I guess they did impress Juventus with flying in to discuss the transaction. Helps that Capello isn't a coach there too.
Madridista_Galactico
what about BUFFON? where is he going? And Nedved? What the hell, i just found out today about JUVENTUS, I'm still speechless ohmy.gif
juv3
nedved, del piero and buffon going to stay.i believe juve only take a season to back to Serie A.hope they make something big when back to Serie A
Kink
I dont think we will see Juve back in Serie A for a few seasons, possibly more.. being put -30 points behind, thats 10 matches to win..then say another 10-15 to get out of the relegation zone.. so that means they have to win roughly 20-25 matches out of i think its 42 games in the league??...now with the big players finding new clubs, its not going to be an easy task, cause its mentally tough on the players to get back from -30 points..you win matches yet your still behind..then once you win the 10 matches, your back to the start at 0.

But we'll see what happens with these transfers, i dont think many will stay cause it will dent their pockets big time
PazzaInter
Juve can win 32-33 of there 42 games and still make it to Serie A, They only have to make the top 6. They still have loads of talent who have said they are staying at Juve in Buffon, Marchionni, Zanetti, Bojinov, Tudor, Legrottaglie, Kapo, Nedved, Del Piero, Birindelli, Chiellini, Kovac, Giannichedda, Oliveria, Guzman etc. Plus players like Lucarelli are on the verge of joining them. If they dont make it back into Serie A this time, they will definetly make it the next year.
urbanlegend
They do have a lot of players staying. But will they have the support. I read this morning in a newspapaer column Juventus struggles to seat something like 10,000 at home matches in lo Stadio Delle Apli... now what with them being in B? I also heard that Fiat share price has dropped 40%. Angelli won't be having the money to fork over to save a floundering club and car company issues, unless he truly loves Juve.
Kink
Its possible with the players they got to get promoted..although who knows what will happen, if that was me being -30 points behind, that would be very tough to take in

If they have a poor start to the season, it could get ugly..the key is to get a good run of wins at the start

Lucarellliiiiiiii!

A player with enough passion and heart to make it look like Zlatan is trying!

This would be a sensational signing i reckon for Juve seeing how he likes to do things the hard way. Still cant get over the fact that Livrono got rid of Donadoni, expect Amelia to follow soon i reckon
PazzaInter
Nicola Legrottaglie has commited his future to Juventus. "“I married them for better or for worse,” Initially signed from Chievo Verona for £6m in 2003, the central defender has had to spend the last two seasons out on loan at Bologna and Siena. Finally he has his chance to show what hes capable of.
dreamlander
Its weird that he never settled. He was really good for Chievo i thought, and was full sure he would be Cannas and Nestas first back up for the National Team

Here´s the latest news:

IN:

Juve wanted to get Jimenez (who played for fiorentina this season) but he said that going back to serie b would be a step back.

There have been talks wih Monaco to get Givet (Deschamps said that he desperatly needs one or two central defenders), but nothing firm about him yet.

There is talks about juve getting 2 brazilians: Felipe from Udinese and Ricardinho from Corinthians, but nothing too sure about these either

OUT:

Milan supposedly offered 40mil for Buffon and Ibra, but hopefully Gigi will keep to hjis word and stay with us.

Cannavaro and Emerson are ufficially Real Madrid´s players now.

Camoranesi is most likely leaving too, most likely too Lyon.

Ibra is another one that is leaving for sure, and what Juve is trying to do (I think) is sell Ibra and Camo to keep Trezegut and Buffon.

Any sources on Camo leaving to Lyon?

Juventus have made a late bid to keep Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Turin by placing a £28m price tag on his head. Oh Dear Looks like the Poor Zlatan will be Staying there forever, Not unless If Chelsea come on the way, they will do the Unthinkable and pay as much.

Thats lunacy and very unfair on the player. Though knowing Zlatans personaloty type, if he wants out, he wont be afraid to kick up a fuss and force Juve to sell him.

Great player, would have done well with the club, but didn't really excite me like I thought he would in the Torino outfit. I was hoping to see him settle in and do more, but he's gone and so-be-it. Can't really change the situation, it's a loss for sure, but he's getting older and his time will come to hang up the boots as far as playing with bigger, competative teams. All-in-all, it's a loss for Juve as he is skilled and experienced.
dreamlander
What must be said about the Vieira sale is that he was aquired for £13 million and sold for £6.5 million. Thast a 50% depreciation over just one season. A massive financial loss whatever about losing the players undeniable if unseen talents

Well, La Viola have released the details of what it would cost Juve to gain full ownership of Valeri Bojinov. A mere £4 million is what it would cost finish of the deal of the player that Fiorentina signed fro £11 million!
Rocafella
Holy crap! We've gotta pay that. And FFS start him more!

Ya, i agree. but i guess you cant argue with the start ye have made. And Trez has been scoring by the bucketful and Del Piero looks a class above in Serie B as i think we all knew he would be.

Bojinov will get his chance though when Allesandros older legs come into play.

True, as good as Trez is he can only help when he's on the pitch. £4 million is an awesome bargain and I imagine Deschamps is a very happy man right now. As for the Buffon rumours . . . well, that's all they are.
Itzo#8
4million is basicly a steal, seeing as how Fiorentina signed him for 11million, i still think bojinov has alot of potential

By the looks of it Juve is looking at Gremio midfielder Lucas. From what I hear he is young and a really good player. He is a decent attacking and defending option. I don't know much about him but he is a pretty established player in the Brasilian league and got his first international call up a while ago. I wonder if he moved to Juve if he'd put his place in the squad under jepoerdy. Atletico Madrid and a few other clubs are repoted to be interested. You could use some depth in your midfield so I think it'd be a fantastic singing if it could be pulled off.

Juventus Eyeing Another Bulgarian Striker

Sports: 24 October 2006, Tuesday.

Italy's Juventus must be quite happy with star striker Valeri Bojinov, for they already have their eye on another Bulgarian who plays that position.

Juventus scouts have spent the past week evaluating the skills of Tsvetan Genkov, who plays for Lokomotiv Sofia.

They witnessed two games from the local championship, sportal.bg announced - the one against Rilski Sportist in which Genkov's team won 3:2 and the one against CSKA that ended in a 1:1 tie.

Genkov's many brilliant matches since the beginning of the season and his five goals in the A group, have won the interest of other teams too. Roma, Werder Bremen and Dutch Feyenoord are just some of the teams that have sent scouts to Bulgaria, inspired by the 22-year-old striker.

i've seen him play a few times, watch this, he scores the first goal.

He has had a tough start, so he lost his spot to Zanetti, Nocerino and Almiron. However, recently he has gotten some playing time under his belt and he was fine. On week 10 against Empoli he was a starter and if I'm not mistaken made all the assists for a 3-0 win.

Hope to c him play good as he is quality player.
dreamlander
He ahd a lot of injuries and missed a fair bit of pre season as well, so it took him time to get up to speed and used to his team mates. I think this guy could be really dominant in the Serie A if he settles.

Turkish giants, Fenerbahce are ready to send their Ghanaian midfielder, Stephen Appiah back to Juventus in January.

Corriere dello Sport says the Turkish club, now eliminated from the UEFA Champions League, are in talks with Juventus, the Old Ladies’ of Italian Football, about a loan deal for the Ghanaian captain.

Juve and Fener are now thrashing out terms over a fee to make the deal permanent at the end of the season.

Earlier on, Fenerbahce rejected a move by the Ghanaian to the Italian club before the European window was closed.

In a related development, Cagliari are chasing AS Roma’s Ghanaian midfielder Ahmed Apimah Barusso.

New Cagliari coach Nedo Sonetti wants to stiffen his midfield and sees the Ghana international as the ideal ball-winner his team has been crying out for

Ch4 reporting that we got Aston Villa defender Olof Mellberg on a Bosman rule. Has any one watched him play? How old is he?
dreamlander
Number 1, he is 30 going on 30 and he plays for Aston Villa where he has been a fucking wall for about 6 years. He is strong, uncompromising and good in the air. He is a very good tackler and a good leader at the back and it isnt a done deal according to Villas website...thankfully as he still has a big part to play for Aston Villa if we ever offer him the damned contract he deserves!
Carlo Gambino
Jeez a centre back really is top priority for Juventus. Linked with Barzagli again today...

Juventus To Sign Barzagli?

Juventus could sign Palermo stopper Andrea Barzagli in January, according to the Corriere dello Sport.

The Bianconeri are well-known to be looking for a top-class centre back following the long-term injury to Jorge Andrade, who will miss most of the season with a broken kneecap.

Their first choice replacement had been Lokomotiv Moscow’s Branislav Ivanovic, however talks with the Russian club have hit a dead end over the past week, forcing Juve to look at other targets.

Top of the list is 26-year-old Barzagli. Regarded by many as the heir to Fabio Cannavaro in the Italian national team, once Il Capitano retires, Barzagli had not originally been a favourite of Juve boss Claudio Ranieri

However some brilliant performances for the Azzurri over the past few months, most notably in the games against France and Scotland, seem to have altered the Tinkemran’s opinion.

Juventus are now set to offer the loan of young prospect Domenico Criscito plus cash to bring the ex-Chievo man to Turin.

It is highly possible that the transfer could go ahead as early as January, as Barzagli currently has a fractious relationship with the Palermo fans, after he heavily criticised them last month for booing the team against Parma.
