Boxers and kickboxers are definateley the toughest, does anyone know why kickboxing is not in the Olymics?

Aug 22 2004, 11:59 AM
For the same reason Curling is. Nobody knows. It's either that or that Curling is a much more athletic activity.

I would say rugby players, but boxers are not too far away either. K1 fighters on the other side...

I started kickboxing up about two months ago because I could not find any boxing clubs local to me and I was shocked to be told that it is not an Olympic event, I just think that some of the sports like horse riding (It has a more technical name) is more enduring for the horse rather than the jockey, but yet being a kickboxing really does need you to be tough and athletic, it would be a good sport to put into the Olympics...

Kickboxing/UFC stuff is really tough. Actual wrestling is tough as hell too.
Marco.
Aug 22 2004, 08:00 PM

i;m the one idiot that put down gymnist's, i belive that toughness is more harder to get on the inside then the outside,

what the hell you guys are saying right

, i belive that its harder to move your bdy the way they do, a wrestler is more of controled acting with fliar, rugby as much as i love it is just run into the other player and hope that he misses you, same as american football
boxing and kickboxing, got to be stupid to do that, stupid and pysicaly tough,
so thats why i voted for gymnists

Why does someone have to be stupid to take up and participate in boxing/kickboxing?

Mixed martial arts and that kinda stuff. But their sport is fighting. After that I'd say that hockey players are toughest. I play hockey and I can assure you that hockey players are toughest, and meanest.

I think gymnists..they might not have to block a 250 pound man (or woman) but to lift your self up, and hold your self up like they do..they've gotta be so much stronger.

I said other.
Lance Armstrong. Tyler Hamilton. Jan Ulrich. Ivan Basso. Joseba Boloki.
Any of these names ring a bell? The Tour de fRance is by far the most grueling and demanding sporting event in the world. 2000 miles in 22 days - 20 racing and 2 resting. They average between 25-30 mph per hour for the entire tour. Do you realize how amazing that is?
Take Tyler Hamilton. Two tours ago, he broke his collarbone on day one. He finished the tour and got third place. Holy shit. Can you imagine the pain? 2000 miles on a broken collarbone? Up mountains? My collarbone would be raw just from the ride itself, not to mention the fact that it was broken. This guy once had 20 caps put on his teeth because he ground them down so much from gritting his teeth in pain during a bike race.
And everyone knows Lance. How couldn't you? Anyone that can win the most grueling sporting event in the world six years running less than three years after coming back from a 30% survival rate with cancer in his testicles, brain, and lungs has gotta be pretty damned tough in my book.
These guys get very little credit for what amazing athletes they are. The riders of the Tour dr France are and always will be my #1 pick for toughest sport athlete.
Go Cubs!

With the exception of this !!@$%#@%! cheat Amstrong is..!!!!!!!
He should not even be allowed to race, or at least if he wants to race allow all other to take the same medecine against his "cancer" as he takes........

Well those WWE wrestlers are pretty damn tough. They smash each other with steel chairs and put each other through tables. Whether that is tougness or pure stupidity I'm not quite sure

Do you have any proof of him doping? Do you? So instead of

just relax. Unless he has come to you and said "I've been doping," let it go. This is just like Vieira going to Real rumours. They come up every year. Just because he dominates the Tour de France like he invented the damn thing, doesn't mean he is a cheat. And he deserves all the credit if not for racing then for going through the things that the French did to him; like spit on him and throw things at him. This is why nobody likes the French. The French are lucky that more Americans don't go to see the Tour de France or they'd get what they deserve.

HeHe I was made to play rugby for my school since I'm big and fast at the same time and it turned out I was quite good at it I won player of the year aswell

I hated it before I played it a few times with people who know the rules but then it actually got rather fun I play on the wing where when I get it I run like crazy and hope my leg dosen't get broken and I can tell you theres no better feeling in any sport outside football than leaving a big fat rugby player on his ass after a quick cbage of balance.
