Actually I am not a proffesional player yet, though I aspire to be one.
I have been playing Hercules's youth team all my life, and this year I started playing for the reserve team.
My father have been offered to teach at a university in california, so I have no choice but to leave spain with them. In Spain and in Europe, people who want to become a soccer player they start off by playing on a club's youth team until they arrive to the highest tank. It seems that in the US is a little different, you can either play for college or play for a club. I would rather play for a club and move from there up. Any suggestions on how to apply for a club in the US, even if it is second division? Do you get paid for playing on 2nd division? Any help would be highly appreciated. thanx in advance.

Professional soccer players here don't get paid much, might even have to find a 2nd job depending on your circumstances.

Pro us players like Claudio Reyna for example play on College teams, and try out for programs like ODP (olympic development program), in which there are district, state, region (several states together) and national level. The higher up you get, the better chance you have of making it to the pros. In fact, Onyewu on the national team was taken after being seen at ODP national level. Hope that helps

A bunch of Ivy league players manage to go pro, just do well and make sure the scouts see you, oh, having an MSL club in town also helps.
