"thomas gravesons agent last night insisted his star could still end up at celtic this summer."

Record sport revealed in may was one of top of strachans wish list.but any move had to be put on hold after the current clubs real madrids presidential elections earlier this month.

but now the former everton hero has been tol;d by new boss fabio capello he is free to find himself a new club.former denmark international john sivebaek strongly hinted last night that celtic are in the running.

Manager gordon strachan is believed to be more interested in a left back and another striker.

but with doubts remaining over the future of stan petrov and alan thompson.

strachan is deperate for experience to bolster his squad for the champions league.

i would love it if we sell petrov and sign Graveson . Pleasssee.

are maloney and nakamura not wasted out on the wing?
thorpeyy.
Not when they're preferred positions are Wingers.
FlippinEck
any idea on the asking price for gravesen, because apparently you were after niko krancjar and de la cruz is petrov was sold
ThisBoy
well with maloney and nakamura as your wingers the midfield will be very narrow due to them wanting to drift inside all the time

strachan was talking about gravesen being a "personality" that is vital for the atmosphere in the squad
CaptainCarrots
5 in midfield though?

Can't see that to be honest

I think Graveson would be a great fit
CaptainCarrots
Wages are another stumbling block though
thorpeyy.
I don't get why players want HUGE salarys! I'm sure they have enough money to pay the bills and live an easy life so why does they need more money?

I wouldn't care how much a club would pay me to play for them. Aslong as it was as much as a normal job.
CaptainCarrots
Nope, why Michael Ballack needs £100,000 a week to play in London is beyond me...

The same goes for Gravesen if he thinks he can command 40/50k a week

No way could celtic afford gravesons wages thats why he will go back to england

the commentator of celtic match just said Mikel arteta has picked up his fair amount of clubs, rangers, barcelona, psg, real sociedad and now everton, then he said, everton is the smallest of those clubs... i can understand being smaller than barca but if the commentator things everton are smaller than Rangers and PSG, fine by me....

Rangers and PSG are much bigger clubs than Everton . I thought Mikel played good against Celtic he came close with every free kick he took was quite a good game to watch it was even sided gutter when McGeady scored
