maybe not a trio of strikers, but i think the next "golden trio" will be Van Persie, Robben and Van der Vaart

Rather make that Robben, Huntelaar and V. Persie.

Rijkaard wasn't a striker. And we have no player now who even comes near the level Rijkaard, Gullit and Van Basten reached during the end of the 80's and the early 90's.

Nice combination you have there but not much creativity
Robben is a quick winger and I've noticed that's all he does
Quick Marching into the penalty area and an accurate pass
This doesn't always work for us
Sometimes you have to be more creative to break an opponent's code of defence
I can't see that in Robben now

robben is extremely un-predictable. he didn't have the best of world cups apart from the serbia game. but in that game, he showed that on his day he is with head and shoulders and far away the best player holland's got.

huntelaar will need to prove himself first. he hasn't even played a single game with van persie en robben so let's not praise this wannabe up to heaven too soon.

Off course he wants that, he's got passion. He is willing to succeed, he believes in himself. That is not being a wannabe, that's called ambition. He is not just another spoiled talented player..

Huntelaar will come there, he's got a nice technique, not brilliant though but nice, his shooting is perfect he can shoot from anywhere, in the 16, outside overhead etc.
His header is also excellent.
He scored 54 goals last season, he was topscorer on U-21.
He will come there, i'm sure, next striker for the Netherlands and I think he suits better in this system than Kuijt or RvN.
