Ghanians seem to be very promising - especially those from the Datus Soccer Acedamy. They won the compettion that I was playin in last week. They were very impressive - very comfortable on the ball, very fast and strong, controlled all their game and weren't scared to try something new. But they did shoot from range a little too often and they were shit at it.
Was the Aberdeen International Football Festival(AIFF) in case anyone is wondering.

well...could you inform me on the quality of this tournament....I mean....if they were playing a bunch of sunday league players.....I am not so impressed....and frankly....Ivory Coast and Nigeria...have so many "next big stars"...that if a fifth of them succeed.....we will be set.

I think personally that Africans wanting to represent adopted European countries is more affected by their wish for real success at the International level. Kalou for instance is more likely to see the Netherlands go deep into the World Cup then Ivory Coast is.
Its frustrating for supporters of these countries, I can say that its irritating to see Hargreaves playing for England, and not his birth country, Canada; but I can understand why he does it. Jonathan de Guzman might look to play for the Dutch as well, which is potentially another excellent prospect leaving the national squad behind.

Depending on whether he chooses Belgium or Morocco Ibrahim Maaroufi will be a star in the future, Super range of passing, He's the second youngest player to play for Inter Milan and has been likened to Andrea Pirlo which isn't surprising because as I said his passing is phenomenal.
Andre Ayew, He's a young attacking midfielder at Marseille, Similiar to Samir Nasri is style. He's the son of Ghanaian legend Abedi Pele, Has the option to represent France seeing as he was born there but he has said he wants to follow in his fathers footsteps by playing for Ghana and is expected to be in the squad for the African Cup of Nations.

both of abedi's sons the younger one Jordan and Andre are likely to make it big. Jordan is on the youth team at marseille and andre has played with the first team a few times. i played with jordan while i was in ghana with FC Nania and even at 15 he was one of the best players on the team.

Jan 1 2008, 07:35 PM
Ibrahim is only 16...but he is already one of the most skillful African players. He does really look like the closest thing Nigeria has seen to Okocha...a playmaking #10. He is set to be a star. The only problem is his size. I think he's quite below 170 cm and is very slight in build..but he still has time to grow.
