Espanyol reject Celtic offer for Raul
tribalfooball.com - July 24, 2006

Espanyol have rejected an offer from Scottish giants Celtic for striker Raul Tamudo.
Celtic were willing to hand Raul contract through to 2010 on better terms than his Espanyol wages, while they tabled a bid of £2.5 million.

But as much as Espanyol directors, Raul refused the move. Under new sports director Paco Herrera, Espanyol are building an exciting team and Raul wants to stay with the Barcelona club.

Six years ago, Raul almost joined Rangers before pulling out of the move at the last minute.

great player but cant blame him for wanting to stay in spain

You would have thought that would have made national press?

Especially if they have £2.5 million to spend...

Gotta love how they've went from £2.5million for Tamudo, to Dion Dublin
