It's my birthday next week and I am after a new bike, just wondering for those of you who know about cycling, mountain bike riding is this any good?

Go to your local newsagents and have a look through MBUK or something similar, at the back they have a database of rated bikes. Personally I would look at something made by Kona or specialized but thats just me.

My mate has a Kona and he's says they're not much good.

Like I said its personal choice, it all depends on what you want to do with it. Read the reviews in the Bike mags, they do it for a job, they know what it what.
